Ben Foster can add a piece of Hollywood to his home after receiving a special gift from Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds.
The Deadpool star and Foster, who has come out of retirement to play the last seven games for Wrexham, have grown close and the goalkeeper has now revealed a special gift recently given to him.
Reynolds went viral after Wrexham sealed promotion with a 3-1 win over Boreham Wood when he marched into the press room and demanded Foster’s match worn shirt – something that was actually pre-arranged.
Now Foster has revealed on his Fozcast podcast that the gift is going the other way from the US.
“This is unbelievable so,” Ryan Reynolds texted me the day of the [Boreham Wood] game to say, “Can I have your shirt?” Foster said.

“I was like ‘yeah cool’ and he was like ‘cool because I’ve got something for you too.’
“I was like “what the hell is this?” So anyway he texted me yesterday saying “I forgot to tell you what it is”.
“He says, ‘I was going through my Deadpool memorabilia the other day and I found the original gloves I wore in the movie.'”
Reynolds chose to give one of those gloves to Jay Fear, a Wrexham fan with terminal cancer, ahead of the Boreham Wood game.
The other was headed to the Foster household as a gesture of goodwill.
There is also another Deadpool surprise that was revealed later.
In a response, Reynolds wrote, “I’m also gifting you the Deadpool underwear. Which, frankly, smells better than the shirt you gave me.’
Reynolds is eager to see Foster commit to Wrexham for all of next season and the Deadpool star got very giddy on the pitch after the Boreham Wood game when Foster suggested they ‘do it again next year’, which Reynolds prompted to gleefully ask club consultant Les Reed to draw up a contract.
Foster has admitted that a stay at Wrexham is now being seriously considered.
“I’ve played seven games now and I feel more part of this team than any team I’ve ever been on,” Foster said in his own podcast. Fozcast.

‘I settled in so quickly. The guys are brilliant and the club as a whole is so welcoming, so warm.
“The fans have been incredible and that’s really piqued my interest, like you wouldn’t believe what I’m really starting to think about now.”
Wrexham managed 110 points – a divisional record – to end their 15-year absence from the Football League and finish the season at Torquay United on Saturday.
Players, at the expense of Reynolds and co-owner Rob McElhenney, will then look forward to a promotion party in Las Vegas ahead of a pre-season tour of the US, including games against Manchester United, Foster’s former team, and Chelsea.
