West Ham are considering a fresh bid for Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo after their £25.4million offer was rejected.
The club are looking to sign a new defender this summer and have reportedly recently signed Todibo, who was also admired by Manchester United.
With United unable to sign the 24-year-old due to UEFA ownership restrictions, Todibo is now on the shortlist of several teams.
New manager Julen Lopetegui is believed to be looking to strengthen his defence, having officially taken over from David Moyes earlier this week.
The Hammers are also eyeing Wolves captain Max Kilman and are still interested despite having a bid – again worth around £25m – rejected.

Post Sport It was previously revealed that West Ham consider Kilman a top target and are unlikely to be deterred by the refutation of their opening bid.
Todibo left Barcelona for Nice in 2021 and was also said to have attracted interest from Tottenham during the January transfer window.
He has made over 125 appearances for the Ligue 1 club, but admitted in an interview with Post Sport that he was open to a move to the Premier League.
Hammers’ technical director Tim Steidten has meanwhile insisted the club does not need to sell players to meet the top division’s profit and sustainability rules.
He promised a ‘busy summer’ and said: ‘The board and the owner have done well in recent years. We can spend money and do not have to sell.
‘I can’t tell you anything about the typical positions or player names, but it’s definitely going to be a busy summer for all of us.
‘The relationship with Julen in the field of recruitment is really important. We talk almost every day, especially about what kind of profiles we are looking for.’
