West Ham are reportedly eyeing a move for an England youth international as they consider their options to strengthen their midfield in the summer.
Kalvin Phillips arrived at the London Stadium in January, with David Moyes offering the midfielder a lifeline after finding himself on the fringes at Manchester City.
The former Leeds star revealed that Moyes had long been an admirer of his and had tried to sign him before joining City in the summer of 2022.
The loan includes an option to buy which will reportedly be worth £40 million, but the club are now said to be exploring other options following Phillips’ decidedly difficult start in east London.

Phillips was forced to forget another night after being sent off in the 71st minute for a second bookable offense following a high challenge on Morgan Gibbs-White.
The midfielder was sent off just three minutes after he was initially booked for pushing Nicolas Dominguez.
