“I never thought about an ex for a minute.”

He continued, “We just came in and got the job done. I mean, I’m going with Craig David, it’s probably the biggest confidence booster you can think of.

“It was more important to me to make sure I sounded good next to Craig than the Islanders, if that makes sense.”

Wes now chooses to keep his private life out of the public eye, but teased that his “current love life is going great.”

During the ITV2 All Stars episode, the blonde beauty visibly turned away when Wes joined Craig to perform for the Islanders, although she later joked that at least he didn’t come into the villa like a bombshell.

Wes starred on Love Island in 2018 and told MailOnline it was ‘difficult’ breaking away from the stigma of his reality TV past.

He explained how he really had to ‘prove’ himself in the industry and work extra hard because the outcome was in the hands of the listeners.

Wes said, “It’s not easy, but at the same time, it’s out of my control. I think it’s something that if you put out good music and you get the response and you get the numbers, people accept that as your career path.

‘I don’t think you can really shout it from the rooftops: ‘oh, I’m an artist now’. You have to prove it.

“I feel like we’ve done that now, and obviously with my tour, and people are really showing up and really streaming music day in and day out. So in a way it was difficult.”

On Wednesday, Wes celebrated the new Lynx black vanilla fragrance, saying: ‘I’m very selective with what I choose and this has changed my whole perception of fragrances because I tried it and thought this is expensive, it must be expensive but it’s left and it’s super affordable.

‘So the thing is, I spend an absolute fortune on fragrance, way too much than I’d like to admit, and this now allows me to smell good every day and not break the bank.’

According to a recent survey by the brand, ‘NEW Lynx Black Vanilla, one of the fragrances from the brand’s all-new Fine Fragrance Collection, has triumphed over Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, with a whopping 74% of men choosing Lynx over the designer scent. priced at a hefty £294’.
