Wendy Williams clashes with caretakes in heated argument after celebrating her son’s graduation

Wendy Williams was seen having a heated argument with her caregivers last week after a dinner in Miami following her son Kevin Jr.’s graduation.

The TV personality, 60 – who made a rare outing to cheer on her son as he received his diploma from Florida International University – clashed with her team after they apparently left the star without her mobility scooter while leaving a restaurant.

Crew of the We in Miami podcast captured the moment on video and shared a clip on Instagram on Wednesday.

In the clip, Williams – who was diagnosed with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia in 2023 – was seen sitting on her scooter as she addressed some caregivers.

“And then you both walked away and left my chair right there in the middle of the street,” the star said in a frustrated tone as he stood on the sidewalk of a busy street.

Wendy also seemed upset after the wrong car was brought to pick her up.

‘Please take the car. Make sure it’s the right car,” she added as the members of her team tried to answer.

A member of the podcast crew then approached Williams and asked, “Wendy, what happened?” What are they doing?’

“They had the wrong car, so I knocked on the door and it was totally the wrong car. They left my scooter behind when they walked there,” she explained, pointing to an area off camera.

‘I leave behind my dearest, most – these cost f***ing mint motherf*****. They just left my stuff there.”

The incident apparently occurred when Wendy made the decision to walk out of the restaurant without the assistance of the mobility scooter.

Members of her team then took the scooter outside and she later accused them of leaving it unattended before taking off elsewhere on the street.

The video then cut to Williams who again spoke to her caregivers and said, “Take the car over here, not over there, so I can easily get out into the street to – in front of the car.”

“They should order the car, that’s what you should do,” the star continued.

She then added, “They want to work for me, that’s what they do. They’re making money off me, buy the Godd*** car.’

The podcast host – better known as Stunt Lifestyle – explained at the end of the video that her son brought the scooter outside so she could walk on her own as she left the eatery.

“So I think according to Wendy’s family, she was very angry about the disorganization and the lack of care. She indicated the car was not close to make sure she even got into the right car.”

“It was just really messy, so she was very upset and her family was very upset too,” he added.

Last Thursday, Williams made a rare public appearance as she attended her son Kevin Jr.’s graduation. (24) attended Florida International University.

The former talk show host was spotted on her mobility scooter wearing a dark gray sparkly sequin ensemble. She was also joined at the event by her father, Thomas Williams Sr.

Photos from inside showed the mother-of-one beaming as Kevin Jr. received his diploma in traditional blue college robes. At one point, she also seemed emotional as she watched her only son take the stage.

The star shares the graduate with ex-husband Kevin Hunter, whom she was married to from 1999 until their divorce was finalized in 2020.

Wendy’s son also provided an update on his mother’s health earlier this week on Monday, after a guardian claimed she was “permanently incapacitated.”

Radio and television personality Charlamagne Tha God congratulated Kevin Jr. with his achievement by taking to Instagram with Wendy looking healthy and happy.

Kevin Jr. took to the comments section to reply, “Thanks fam! [three prayer hand emojis] Let’s take her home [fingers crossed emoji]’, and later sheds some more light on what his mother went through.

He added, “While I’m here, quick update on my mom. She is sober and wants to come home. We’re fighting to make that happen, because isolation kills her faster than anything else.”

She was also recently spotted outside Fort Lauderdale restaurant Sista Sara’s Shonuff Oysters with her cousin Travis Finnie – although it’s unclear what day the clip was filmed.

Wendy appeared to be in good spirits in the video and smiled as she received her food order. She was also heard thanking the workers.

The star’s dementia diagnosis came a year after she was placed under a court-ordered legal guardianship that oversees both her finances and her health.

Last month, lawyers for the star’s guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, claimed in new documents that Williams “has become cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated.”

It was the latest update amid a legal row over the star’s tell-all documentary Where Is Wendy Williams? – which sparked widespread backlash when it aired in February.

However, a family insider pushed back on the claim about William’s mental state, saying: ‘She is now clearer than ever in custody, which is an issue for some.’

Where is Wendy Williams? planned to explore Williams’ life as she prepared to launch a new podcast, but included shocking scenes of the former host drinking vodka in bed and having panic attacks, prompting fan backlash against Lifetime.

Morrissey is now involved in a legal battle with the channel over the documentary.

Williams also spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com a few months earlier and shared that she was doing well, before also dismissing the documentary.

“I’m doing really well,” she said in October. ‘The documentary was bad. I understand that it is now worth an award. It’s going very well.’

New York attorney Morrissey was appointed as her guardian after Wells Fargo froze her accounts in 2022 because her financial advisor at the time claimed she was of “unsound mind.”

In March, it was reported that Williams was reportedly paid $100,000 per episode for her involvement in the four-part docuseries.

At the same time, it was revealed that William’s guardian had filed a lawsuit against Lifetime’s parent company, A&E Television Networks, alleging “blatant exploitation” in a “disgusting” manner.

In response, A&E Networks argued that Morrissey “overstepped her authority” by attempting to change and edit parts of the documentary.

The American multinational broadcaster filed a countersuit alleging that Williams signed a talent agreement before she was “mentally retarded,” as the guardian claimed.

The popular network also claimed that there is no law against making a documentary about a dementia subject, so even if a talent deal wasn’t signed, nothing they had done would be considered wrong.

The broadcaster is suing Morrissey for attempting to infringe on A&E’s First Amendment rights, citing Morrissey’s original lawsuit filed in February in which she tried to get a judge to block the release of the original documentary .

Williams’ publicist previously promoted the Lifetime documentary she signed her famous TV client on.

Shawn Zanotti laid the blame on the show’s producers, claiming the TV icon thought she was filming a show about her comeback – only for filmmakers to capture “a circus to her demise.”

The Wendy Williams Show was last broadcast in June 2022 after 13 years – without Williams herself appearing.

She previously retired from the show in 2021 and began what was initially expected to be a temporary leave of absence to deal with health issues.
