Watch as Marcus Rashford narrowly escapes getting a parking ticket for £280,000 McLaren in seconds – arriving at his supercar as the attendant is about to hand out a fine

A video of Marcus Rashford narrowly avoiding a parking fine on his McLaren supercar has gone viral on social media.

The clip appears to show the Manchester United star being just seconds away from being fined for parking his car on the double yellow lines and on the pavement.

Filmed just over a month ago, Rashford arrives in the nick of time as a waiting traffic warden ponders whether to fine the McLaren 765LT – worth an estimated £280,000 – left on the curb above double yellow lines appear to be showing.

The attacker wastes no time in opening the driver’s scissor door before speeding away and avoiding a penalty.

The incident is not the first time the 25-year-old has narrowly escaped and left his car on a double yellow.

In July, the player left his Rolls-Royce Black Badge Wraith worth £700,000 at a jeweler in Chesire as he indulged in some retail therapy with teammate Tyrell Malacia.

Once again Rashford escaped the penalty as he and Malacia privately browsed the shop for 20 minutes before stopping to sign autographs for young fans.

One young supporter even wore a ‘Rashford 10’ United shirt as he shared a moment with his icon.

Rashford is a well-known car enthusiast and also owns a Rolls-Royce Black Badge Cullinan and a Lamborghini Urus Peformante, worth £350,000.

But Rashford suffered a nasty accident in his Black Badge Wraith in September after crashing the car into another car driven by a 74-year-old woman.

The player immediately checked to see if she was okay and exchanged insurance information with her.

Both drivers emerged from the incident unscathed, but were described as ‘severely shaken’.

Although Rashford has yet to comment on the circulating video, the star kept a close eye on social media as he responded to ‘malicious rumours’ spread by a Man United fan channel on Monday.

The player took offense to well-known broadcaster The United Stand after they published a video entitled ‘Rashford’s future in doubt?’.

The forward quickly responded to the message on X (formerly Twitter), writing: ‘Please STOP spreading malicious rumours’.

The England international signed a new contract worth £300,000-a-week with the Red Devils ahead of their current campaign but is currently suffering a dip in form after a blistering 2022-2023 season.

Rashford has scored a solitary goal in 14 games in all competitions so far, which is in stark contrast to his 30 goals for his boyhood club during head coach Erik ten Hag’s debut season at Old Trafford.

Despite outside concerns about his form, Ten Hag told club channel MUTV that he is ‘sure he will get back on track’.

He added: ‘I see him performing so well in training so I think he will be back on track soon. He will score a lot of goals for us and he will be very important for us.

“Once we find our rhythm, once the team finds its rhythm, it will be easier for him too.”
