- The construction of Capper’s former brothel goes on the market
- Footy cult hero sold his stake in the company in April
- Says he’s had enough and wants to focus on other things
The AFL legend has opened up about why he sold his brothel in Melbourne’s south-east, with the property up for sale with a price tag of $2.2 million.
Capper gave Daily Mail Australia an exclusive tour of the establishment in 2023, after purchasing Westminster Secrets in Oakleigh, Melbourne for ‘six figures’ and completely overhauling the interior.
The Larrikin explained that he picked up the brothel because of its connection to his youth.
‘I grew up here. House is just a kilometer away. It feels a bit like home,” he says.

The property is now for sale with a price tag of $2.2 million and there is no shortage of interest
‘I was playing football about half a kilometer away. Oakleigh Youth Club. I thought it would be a good fit.”
He wasted no time in changing the seven-year-old establishment as soon as he got his hands on it.
Capper spent “a few hundred thousand” dollars on renovations and has retiled and repainted every inch of the six-bedroom building.
In April, Capper decided to sell his stake in the company so he could focus on his other interests.
“I’ve just had enough, there’s plenty of other things happening,” he told the Herald Sun.
One of these projects, if rumors are to be believed, is a Netflix show documenting his unique life.
The brothel, now called Cherry Tree Garden, has a three-year lease at the address, which can then be extended.
Jonathan Lan, of ASL Real Estate, said the two-storey brothel has six rooms with showers.
The media personality has dabbled in modeling, porn, DJing and politics since retiring from the AFL in 1991.

The establishment also has CCTV in communal areas, a staff room, a changing room and a reception area.
“There are a number of investors who are showing genuine interest,” Mr Lan said.
Capper has tried modeling, porn, DJing and politics since retiring from the AFL in 1991.
Capper first rose to fame playing for the Sydney Swans and Brisbane Bears and has since become a prominent figure in pop culture.
Retiring from the AFL in 1991, he has remained in the public eye thanks to his highly publicized and often bizarre career ventures.
He has announced plans to become a male stripper, sold a sex tape in 2009 and even tried to run against Pauline Hanson in the 2009 Queensland state election.
