All the cringeworthy times cackling Kamala Harris has attempted to explain things with her signature world salad gibberish

Throughout her political career, Vice President Kamala Harris has taken the time during speeches and public events to define events or issues that most people are already familiar with.

It’s a strange phenomenon that now haunts Harris as she launches the 2024 presidential campaign in place of Joe Biden, who spectacularly withdrew from the race last month.

Harris has a unique style: she simplifies her answers to the point that they only become more confusing to the general public, often causing her to laugh uncomfortably.

Sometimes Harris dodges a question by stating the topic in clear terms, but does not give a clear answer, leaving the audience and presenters confused.

And she does so in her trademark ‘word salad’ style, which often makes her answers even more complicated.

DailyMail.com analyses the most embarrassing statements the presidential candidate has made over the years:

In November 2021, Harris was asked what the Biden-Harris administration would do to combat inflation.

“Let’s start with this,” Harris responded. “Prices have gone up and families and individuals are dealing with the reality of — that bread is more expensive, that gas is more expensive.”

She continued, “And we have to understand what that means. It’s about the cost of living going up. It’s about having to tax and stretch limited resources.”

Harris noted that she and Biden took the issue “very seriously” and that it was a “priority” for the administration.

In February 2023, Harris delivered a speech at the Congressional Space Medal of Honor ceremony, explaining to NASA astronauts what it was like to go into space in a rocket.

“Bob and Doug returned to the Kennedy Space Center. They put on their suits. They waved to their families, and they rode an elevator up nearly 20 stories,” she began. “They buckled into their seats and waited as the tanks below filled with tens of thousands of gallons of fuel. And then they were off.”

“Yes, they did,” Harris continued, laughing uncomfortably, as the audience remained silent.

As a California politician, Harris prides himself on keeping up with the latest developments in public policy and technology. But when he talks about these issues, he often gets bogged down in trying to explain how they work.

In February 2022, Harris felt the need to remind her audience what people use the internet for, including work, school, and entertainment.

In September 2010, then-San Francisco District Attorney Harris attempted to explain what cloud computing was.

“It’s on your laptop, and it’s here in this cloud that exists above us, right? It’s not in a physical place anymore,” she said.

Harris also spoke about technology when she took on the role of “Artificial Intelligence Czar” and hosted an event about it in the Executive Office Building.

“I think the first part of this problem that needs to be formulated is that AI is kind of a fancy thing,” Harris said. “First of all, it’s two letters. It means artificial intelligence, but ultimately it’s machine learning.”

During a discussion about infrastructure, Harris attempted to simplify the term even further, telling her audience it was about transportation and getting places.

“You have to be able to go where you need to be to do your job and come home,” she explained.

As Biden’s reelection campaign approaches, Harris has focused on the message about the importance of democracy. But first, she explained what it meant.

“On the one hand, it’s an incredible force,” she began in a podcast interview, talking at length about how “vulnerable” it also was.

Kamala Harris, however, has no qualms about talking only about the seriousness of democracy. In a November 2019 interview with MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart, she also revealed the best way to cook a turkey for Thanksgiving.

Vice President Kamala Harris at the 30th Essence Festival of Culture

During the Essence Festival of Culture in July 2023, Harris was asked what culture meant to her. She gave an extensive explanation of the meaning of culture.

“Culture is — it’s a reflection of our moment and our time. Right? And culture today is how we express how we feel about the moment and we should always find moments to express how we feel about the moment. That’s a reflection of joy. Because, you know… it comes in the morning,” Harris said before laughing away the awkwardness.

Harris also spoke about what the word innovation meant to her during a March 2023 speech during a trip to Ghana.

In her speech to young people, she explained that innovation is “the ability not just to see, but to do things differently” and “challenging assumptions, questioning the status quo and thinking boldly.” Her personal slogan is also “pursuing what can be freed from the burden of what has been.”

Harris also explained how electricity works at an event in California.

“Think about it. Every time you turn on a light, or charge a laptop, or plug in your air conditioner, or put leftovers on the refrigerator, you are relying on the power provided by our nation’s network of transmission lines,” she said.

After the Biden administration shot down a Chinese spy balloon flying over the United States, Harris was asked in February 2023 to explain why they decided to take action.

“As for the Chinese balloon, we shot it down because it was necessary,” she began briefly.

Harris is married to her husband Doug Emhoff, who is Jewish. During the 2020 Hanukkah celebration, the vice president-elect spoke about the holiday and why it was important to her.

“I love Chanukah because it’s really about the light and bringing light where there’s darkness. There’s so much work to be done in the world to bring light…” she began.

Her comment angered Orthodox Jews who felt she was downplaying the importance of the holiday.

Harris attempted to simplify Russia’s war in Ukraine during an interview, in which she was asked to explain in “layman’s terms” why the war was going on.

Harris responded, “So Ukraine is a country in Europe. It’s next to another country, Russia. Russia is a bigger country. Russia is a powerful country. Russia decided to invade a smaller country called Ukraine. So that’s actually wrong.”
