Victor Wembanyama spent time with rapper Drake ahead of his highly anticipated NBA debut on Wednesday night.

Wembanyama, the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft by the Spurs, will face the Mavericks in San Antonio to begin his professional career in the United States.

But the French phenomenon has apparently also had some time for fun off the field, as he shared a photo of him and the “For All the Dogs” rapper on Monday.

“Random dump before the serious stuff starts,” he captioned a group of photos on Instagram.

The Canadian artist may not fancy the rookie when the Spurs face his beloved Toronto Raptors on November 5.

Wembanyama, meanwhile, may be hoping that the rapper doesn’t place bets on him and impose the ‘Drake Curse’.

The 37-year-old has become known in recent years for his high stakes bets, many of which fail to land.

He lost $500,000 last month after Israel Adesanya’s shocking middleweight title loss to Sean Strickland, and unsuccessfully risked $250,000 for predicting Nate Diaz would beat Jake Paul.

Whether Drake bets on him or not, Wembanyama seems certain, though.

The 19-year-old’s massive frame immediately makes him an elite rebounder and defender, and his silky touch and ball handling are unparalleled for his size.

He looked impressive in the preseason, putting up 23 points and three blocks in one game against the Heat.

And when he plays his first competitive NBA game, he’ll have a familiar face in the stands with his sister, as she revealed on her Instagram Story on Sunday.
