‘I spent most of the day crying’: Vicky Pattison, 35, reveals she was crying in hospital after being forced to stop fertility treatment for health reasons
Vicky Pattison has revealed that she has been in tears after suffering a setback with her fertility journey.
The 35-year-old former Geordie Shore star, who is freezing her eggs, has a cyst on her ovaries that needs to be removed before she can continue treatment.
Sharing her experience with her fans, Vicky, who is engaged to Ercan Ramadan, said the latest news left her understandably emotional.
Emotional: Vicky Pattison, 35, revealed she has been crying in hospital after being forced to stop her fertility treatment for health reasons; she shared the news on Instagram on Tuesday.
She wrote: ‘Unfortunately yesterday did not go as planned and I have another cyst on one of my ovaries.
“As the injections I would have to give as part of my fertility treatment are predominantly estrogen, instead of stimulating the ovarian follicles, which is what we want to happen, I would end up predominantly feeding the cyst and the treatment would be wasted.
“Naturally I’m a bit disappointed and I spent most of yesterday crying and feeling super exhausted, it was like someone had let all the air out of a balloon.”
“Naturally, I’m a little disappointed”: She wrote about her experience so that others would see that many women are going through the same thing.
“But I guess it was all the angst and nervous energy that left my body and made me feel like a human raisin.”
She continued: ‘This is quite common and as I’m starting to learn these journeys are not usually linear and there can be many more ups and downs for me as I go along.
“So I need to prepare for that and be grateful that I’m in a position to have options, which I really do.”
“I want more women to know that it is not easy for many of us. .. and you are not alone. It doesn’t matter how it may feel.
“I’ve made my peace with this today – I’m going back to work, I’m going to focus on other things and I’ll try again next month ♥️.”
