Van Jones remained skeptical of Kamala Harris, with a scathing comparison about the Democrat’s campaign in the closing hours.
Jones, who worked for President Obama, told CNN on Monday that the final days of the 2024 election were eerily similar to Hillary Clinton’s devastating 2016 loss.
Now that Harris is holding rallies with A-stars such as Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry in various swing states, Jones sees parallels.
“The other thing that makes me nervous: In 2016, we had a big, star-studded event right before the election, and we lost the state,” Jones said.
‘I don’t think people understand, working people sometimes have to choose. Am I going to go to the big, cool concert and pay the babysitter or am I going to figure out a way to get to the polls? I don’t like these big, star-studded events.’

Jones, whose bosses included Barack Obama and Prince, told CNN on Monday that the final days before the election for Harris were eerily similar to Hillary Clinton in 2016.
The Obama White House’s former special adviser on green jobs said these events are more of a hindrance to voter turnouts than a benefit.

Earlier Monday, Harris posted a video of herself on Instagram knocking on the doors of potential voters in Pennsylvania.
Jones also worried that Harris would betray Biden’s impressive victory with Jewish voters in Pennsylvania.
“Biden won the Jewish vote last time by 70%, 70-30. Some polls show Kamala at 50-50. That’s 70,000 votes we bled away, that’s the margin of victory,” Jones said.
Jones, a lifelong liberal and Democratic pundit, last criticized Harris after a high-stakes CNN town hall just 13 days after the election.
Harris’ inability to provide clear answers on both domestic and foreign policy, and characteristically meandering responses throughout the 90-minute session, led CNN’s left-wing panelists to grill her afterward.
“The word salad gets on my nerves,” he said bluntly on air after the town hall wrapped.

“I think some dodges aren’t necessary.”
Thousands of Vice President Kamala Harris’ supporters waited in line to watch her final appearance on the campaign trail in front of the iconic “Rocky Steps” in Philadelphia Monday night.
Although Harris was not expected to be in the City of Brotherly Love to address the crowd until 11 p.m., programming kicked off a few minutes before 7 p.m. with Grammy Award-winning singer Jazmine Sullivan covering Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On .
“I don’t know about you, but I feel safer when there’s a woman in charge,” Sullivan told the crowd.
Harris will be joined in Philadelphia by Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga, The Roots, Fat Joe, Ricky Martin, Freeway and Just Blaze, Adam Blackstone and DJ Cassidy.
Four years ago, Lady Gaga also performed at President Joe Biden’s final rally in Pennsylvania, outside where the Steelers play in Pittsburgh.
Winfrey has been politically active this cycle, speaking in support of Harris at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August.
Martin is among Puerto Rican artists voicing their support for Harris in the wake of former President Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally last week, in which a MAGA-affiliated comedian called the U.S. territory a “floating island of trash.”

Harris storms through Pennsylvania on Monday, with her final rallies taking place in Pittsburgh and then Philadelphia.
It’s their last chance to sway voters in time for Election Day and the wait to see who will be declared the winner.
Either Harris will take over the presidency from Joe Biden, or Trump will return for a second term.
