Unhinged woman trashes grieving couple’s sentimental Halloween display in 30-minute rampage

Wild video captured the moment an Ohio woman viciously vandalized a Halloween display in front of a home whose owners had just lost their son.

Christina Horvath, 48, was arrested in connection with the 30-minute rampage that took place in broad daylight on October 7.

Horvath is said to have caused $1,000 worth of damage to the Zellers’ Toledo home, but the broken decorations the Zellers made with their son killed in a motorcycle accident were priceless.

“Honestly, I cried like a baby,” Shannon Zeller told KBTX. “I felt bad about the memories associated with some of the stuff she broke.”

Images taken by neighbors allegedly show Horvath wreaking havoc on the Zellers’ festive display.

The clips show striking decorative graves and fake spider webs with a metal rod.

You can then see her feverishly picking up plastic skeletons and throwing them onto the street.

At another point, the woman furiously pounds on the small Gothic fence the family has erected around the garden.

‘Honestly, I cried like a baby,’ Shannon Zeller said when she discovered the decorations she made with her late son had been destroyed

Then the 48-year-old gets resourceful and wields a plastic box and uses it to whack other decorations.

In one of the clips, she appears to have gotten herself into such a frenzied state that she trips over some fake spider webs and collapses on the ground.

Concerned neighbors quickly informed the Zellers that someone was destroying their beloved Halloween show.

“They said someone was in our yard and destroyed all our decorations,” Zeller said.

It is unclear to the family what prompted the attack. The Zellers had never met Horvath, whose rampage reportedly lasted 30 minutes and caused extensive damage

“Some of [the decorations] we can’t put a dollar amount on it because we made it.

‘We have handmade things that we made together with our children. Unfortunately, we lost our son in a motorcycle accident. There are a lot of memories here.”

Christina Horvath is now charged with criminal damage and theft as she was recorded smuggling several items of property into her car.

Just two weeks before the incident, she was booked into the Lucas County Jail after allegedly throwing a rock through the windshield of a vehicle.

The Zellers don’t know what prompted Horvath to target their property, but they hope she receives proper medical care.

‘I don’t know what it was. There was speculation, but I hope she gets the treatments she needs,” Shannon said.

The family is monitoring the situation closely and is now trying to process the damage in the screening.

Next to a skeleton straddling a wrecking ball, the Zellers placed a sign that read, “She Came in Like a Wreckin’ Ball,” a reference to Miley Cyrus’s famous music video.

“I said, ‘Well, what can I do to just leave it as it is and make it fun and make a little light of it?’

“I hope everyone can see that we were just downplaying a sad situation.”
