Tyson Fury believes he can knock Francis Ngannou out even after 15 pints.

The pair reignited their rivalry on Sunday after UFC President Dana White offered the Gypsy King a fight in the Octagon against promotional heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

But his predecessor, Ngannou – who had verbally agreed to take on Fury in the boxing ring shortly after the WBC champion’s brief retirement last year – has now staked his claim to the fight.

He took to Twitter and wrote, “Anyway… I’ll be ready @tyson_fury.”

In response, Fury fired back: ‘I’ve got 15 pints and still KO you big stiff bum’

It seemed a foregone conclusion that Fury would fight the Cameroonian danger man after announcing his retirement from boxing in the wake of his win over Dillian Whyte.

As Ngannou was still bound by a UFC contract at the time, negotiations failed to get off the ground.

The Predator has since left the UFC and is now signed with PFL, who actively support his move into boxing.

Ngannou has called up Fury, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, but it is believed he is most keen on fighting the former.

When a fight comes between the pair, Fury suggests they fight it out in a cage with 4oz gloves.

‘Let’s spice it up, in a cage, four ounces of gloves, under Queensberry [boxing rules]and let’s have a tough referee like Iron Mike Tyson,” he said Seconds off back in January.
