Tyler Cameron reveals he only had $200 to his name when he was dating Gigi Hadid

Bachelorette contestant Tyler Cameron has opened up about his financial situation, or lack thereof, when he was dating supermodel Gigi Hadid.

The 30-year-old reality star was first linked to the 27-year-old supermodel in early August 2019, shortly after her stint on The Bachelorette ended, though they split in October 2019.

Cameron appeared on Bachelor Nation alumnus Jason Tatrick’s podcast. trade secretswhere he revealed that he only had $200 to his name when he started dating Hadid.

Tatrick, 34, recalled a conversation he had with Cameron when he started dating Hadid.

“He’s like, ‘Dude, I don’t know what the hell I’m doing. I have $5,000 in my bank account, I don’t know what my next job is, and I’m dating Gigi.” Hadid,” Tatrick recalled, though Cameron corrected him.

‘Not even $5,000, I had like $200, you know what I mean? I would go on dates, like this one in my early days of life in New York City. I’m living in Matt’s bean bag,’ he said, referring to fellow Bachelor Nation fellow Matt James.

I have no money, but I am happier than ever because the world is open to me in New York City. I can do whatever I want,’ she added.

He even admitted that he would call his father in the bathroom, in the middle of the date, and ask him for some money to pay for the date.

‘I’d be going on dates, I’m like calling pops in the bathroom. I’m like, “Dad, I don’t think my credit card is going to go through. I need you to send me some money right now.” And he’s like, “You’ve got it son, go get it,” Cameron explains.

She added that her father would send money to cover dinner sometimes, but there were “some contact moments” where she hoped her card would go through.

‘When you go on a date with Gigi and you only have $200 to your name, how do you pay for it? Do you ever have a story, like how are you handling that? asked Tatrick/

‘You’re just crossing your fingers at this point. At this point, I don’t even know what a credit card is. I got a direct debit card, so when you hit zero, you hit zero, you know, so I just cross my fingers, hoping it slides, and it kept slipping,” Cameron said.

He added that he would call his parents the next day to get “a couple hundred” from them to help him out.

After dating Hadid, Cameron was linked to Camila Kendra from January 2021 to August 2021 and model Paige Lorenze for about a month in the summer of 2022.

He was seen with Kristin Cavallari at a New Year’s Eve party, though Cavallari later clarified that they are just friends.

While Cameron opened up about how he used to crash on Matt James’ beanbag chair when he first came to New York City, Cameron admitted last summer that they aren’t that close anymore, largely due to his relationship with Rachel Kirkconnell.

‘I think people think [Matt and I aren’t friends] because we’re just not in each other’s everyday lives like we used to be,” Cameron said. US Weekly.

“I think it’s part of growing up. It’s part of building a relationship,” Cameron added.

“We all have those friends who grow up, start dating their person, get married, do their own thing, and you see it when you see it,” she said.

Cameron admitted in May that he has a “love-hate relationship” with Rachel, which would clear it up to some degree.

‘I was definitely going through my own shit. We just have our own ways of crashing. Sometimes I don’t like to listen to people,’ she said.

“And she is strong and has a very good opinion about a lot of things. And sometimes I don’t want to hear it,’ she admitted.
