Two JetBlue planes collided on the runway at Boston’s Logan Airport on Thursday.
The jets collided on the tarmac while passengers were on both planes. One plane was left with wing damage, according to images obtained by Boston 25.
The incident occurred on Thursday after the planes pulled away from the gate around 6:40 am. The FAA confirmed that one of the plane’s “left wings” struck the other passenger plane’s “right horizontal stabilizer.”
One plane was headed to Las Vegas while the other was headed to Orlando when they collided.
The Federal Aviation Administration: ‘JetBlue Flight 777, the left wing of an Airbus A321neo struck the right horizontal stabilizer of JetBlue Flight 551, an Airbus A321, around 6:40 a.m. local time on Thursday, February 8, while on the de-icing pad in Boston located Logan International Airport. The FAA will investigate.”
One person, who was on one of the flights, went to X afterwards and wrote to JetBlue: ‘Our plane collided with another plane on the runway. You have to be a bit stupid to let that happen.
“Your continued decline as the worst airline available is truly remarkable and should be studied. You’re a bunch of idiots.’
