Twiggy stood out in a striking red velvet suit as she arrived at the Vogue World Show at the Theater Royal Drury Lane in London on Thursday evening.

The modeling icon, 73, looked fantastic in her sharp look for the big fashion night out in the West End.

She paired her chic suit with a black bow tie and white shirt and carried a classic Louis Vuitton bag.

Swapping the heels for black loafers, Twiggy beamed as she posed with Rita Ora on the star-studded red carpet.

Billed as a ‘multi-act celebration of the British performing arts’, the glittering one-off extravaganza, which kickstarts London Fashion Week, saw Sienna Miller, Rita Ora, Jodie Turner Smith and Winnie Harlow hit the red carpet – while Victoria Beckham slipped. enter through the back entrance.

Thursday’s event will serve as a fundraiser for the British performing arts industry, with Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour overseeing the proceedings.

The first Vogue World event featured a fashion show and street fair when it took place in New York’s meatpacking district in 2021, but the London ceremony is expected to be a grander affair.

The dress code was Opening Night, with the invitation revealing a West End stage decorated with blood-red velvet curtains.

Led by BAFTA and Olivier-winning director Stephen Daldry, show director Emily Burns and creative producer Fran Miller, along with the Vogue team, the evening featured a wide range of performing arts.

Guests watched opera, ballet and theater at the event, which takes place at the start of London Fashion Week and unveils and showcases talent.

Contributing designers for the guests and artists included 16Arlington, Ahluwalia, Burberry, Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY, Erdem, Maison Margiela and SS Daley, among many other fashion giants.

Wintour previously claimed the performing arts industry is ‘under threat’, meaning all proceeds from ticket sales will go to a range of theater companies including the National Theatre, the Royal Opera House and the Royal Ballet.
