Trump leads calls to impeach Joe Biden for ‘arming the Justice Department against his political opponent’ a day after House Republicans ousted the president’s head of homeland security, Alejandro Mayorkas

Donald Trump continues to pressure the Republican-led House of Representatives to impeach his rival, President Joe Biden.

During a speech in North Charleston, South Carolina, the former president addressed a crowd about the current president’s handling of the economy, the U.S.-Mexico border and foreign affairs.

He also said Biden should be impeached for abusing the power of the presidency to target political opponents.

“Congress should charge corrupt Joe Biden with targeting his political opponent by arming the DOJ, FBI, and even local district attorneys and attorneys general against his political opponent,” Trump told the crowd.

“He is a threat to our democracy for many reasons,” he added. “They use law enforcement as a weapon against their political opponents. In my case, it is I who is their political opponent.”

His renewed call to impeach Biden comes the same week that House Republicans successfully passed the Department of Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas.

President Joe Biden called Mayorkas’ ouster a “blatant act of unconstitutional partisanship” and that history will not look favorably on Republicans in the House of Representatives

Department of Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas was impeached by the House of Representatives

Earlier this month, Chairman Mike Johnson and the Republican Party tried to oust the embattled secretary, but lost after three Republicans joined all Democrats in rejecting the motion.

“History will not look kindly on the Republicans in the House of Representatives for their blatant act of unconstitutional partisanship, targeting an honorable official to play petty political games,” the White House said in response to Mayorkas’ ouster .

In December, the House voted along party lines 221-212 to formalize an impeachment inquiry into President Biden.

The investigation and subsequent investigations into President Hunter Biden and his business associates will allow Congress to obtain more evidence about schemes that allowed the Biden family to receive millions from countries including China, Ukraine and Romania.

Since early 2023, Republicans have been investigating Joe Biden for his alleged connections to his son Hunter’s extremely lucrative, tens of millions of dollars in influence peddling scheme.

Trump has now been hit with dozens of charges in multiple criminal cases in which he is involved.

Two of the former president’s cases were heard Thursday morning, and he appeared outside a New York courthouse to dismiss one of the cases against him.

“We are here for something that is not a crime,” Trump said.

“It’s election interference,” he continued before adding, and “it’s being led by Joe Biden’s White House.”

Republicans will question Hunter Biden’s business partner who has since turned against him, Tony Bobulinski, on Tuesday

One of Hunter Biden’s former business partners, Tony Bobulinski, testified before Congressional investigators this week that Joe Biden was the “enabler” and “brand” of his family’s lucrative foreign business deals.

“I want to be crystal clear: from my direct personal experience and what I have subsequently learned, it is clear to me that Joe Biden was ‘the brand’ sold by the Biden family,” Bobulinski said in the opening statement obtained by DailyMail.com.

He continued to say that Joe was “more than a participant” in the family business, but rather “a facilitator, despite being buffered by a complex scheme to keep deniability plausible.”

But Democrats didn’t believe his testimony.

“This looks like a scene from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, here with Mr. Bobulinski. The first and most important point is simply that he provides absolutely no testimony indicating any criminal activity by President Biden,” said top House Democrat Jamie Raskin, “or evidence that President Biden was involved in Hunter Biden’s affairs.”

The House investigation into Joe Biden, Hunter Biden and their business associates remains ongoing.
