Trump’s campaign on Sunday criticized Joe Biden as a “security risk” and demanded that he immediately leave the White House.
A scathing statement was issued about his three and a half years in office after the 81-year-old announced he would not seek re-election in November.
“Joe Biden cannot withdraw from the presidential campaign because he is mentally incompetent and still remain in the White House,” said Trump’s top campaign managers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles.
‘Biden is a threat to our national security and is in serious cognitive decline. He is a clear and present danger to every man, woman and child in our country.
‘The question for Kamala Harris is therefore simple: knowing that Joe Biden has withdrawn from the campaign trail due to his rapidly deteriorating condition, does Harris believe that the American people are safe and secure with Joe Biden in the White House for another six months?’
Trump’s campaign criticized Joe Biden, saying he was unfit to be in the White House
Biden eventually bowed to the overwhelming pressure on Sunday afternoon. He had not been seen since Wednesday, when he was diagnosed with COVID-19, but had been closely monitored for three weeks since his disastrous debate performance against Trump.
The former president used a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Saturday to criticize Democrats for not knowing who their nominee would be in November.
He asked his supporters who they would like to face in the elections and tested his attack techniques on ‘the laughing Kamala’.
In their statement, Trump campaign officials indicated they want to link the Biden administration’s problems with inflation and immigration to Harris.
“And throughout this entire term, Kamala Harris, like every other Democrat in Washington, has sat by and done NOTHING,” they wrote.
“They are all just as complicit as Biden in the destruction of our once great nation, and they must all be removed from office.”
They said Harris was “as much of a joke as Biden.”
President Joe Biden announced Sunday that he will not seek re-election in November
Trump’s campaign quickly took aim at Kamala Harris, calling her the “enabler in chief for the corrupt Joe Biden” and linking her to his time in office
“Harris will be even WORSE to the people of our country than Joe Biden,” they continued.
“Harris has been the Enabler in Chief for Crooked Joe the entire time. They own each other’s records and there is no distance between the two. Harris has to defend the failed Biden administration AND her liberal, weak crime record in CA.”
A super PAC supporting Trump quickly switched to attacking Harris, launching an ad that they said would soon air in the swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and Pennsylvania.
