Trump says Biden could have gone to slain NYPD cop Jonathan Diller’s wake in 30 minutes and it wasn’t ‘rocket science’ to call the grieving family before he went to his glitzy fundraiser

Donald Trump said Joe Biden’s supporters won’t let him support police, as the former president condemned his rival for ignoring the aftermath of slain NYPD officer Jonathan Diller.
Trump attended the vigil on Thursday when Biden was also in New York for a political fundraising event with former Democratic presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
Trump told Fox News that Biden could have been at the vigil “within half an hour, depending on the mode of travel, they can travel pretty quickly.”
He continued, “I think politically he (Biden) cannot support the police. I think he’s making a mistake too, but I think politically his base won’t allow him to support the police.

“And I support police, I would say, by far the highest level of any president, maybe double or triple.
“And they knew that’s why it looked like love when I walked into that funeral home. It was just that, they want to shy away from it.”
He said Biden and his team had not even called the officer’s family.
“They didn’t even call the family,” he said. ‘They could have called. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist.’
But he added: “I’m not sure if they’ll take his call.”

Officer Diller was shot and killed in Queens on Monday during a routine traffic stop.

The former president told Fox News: “We have truly lost a hero, the family is devastated, the police are devastated.
‘It’s happening more and more often. It is actually a lack of respect for public order.’
At the ceremony for Officer Diller, 31, Trump said Thursday: “What happened is such a sad event, so terrible, and it happens all too often.
“It’s an honor to be here, but this is such a sad event. We have to make it louder, we have to make it stronger, this kind of thing shouldn’t happen.’
