Trump attorney denounces ‘dual justice system’ as ex-president hit by historic federal indictment

Donald Trump’s attorney accused the United States of having a “dual tier justice system,” noting that Donald Trump has been charged, while Bill and Hillary Clinton and Hunter Biden have not.

Alina Habba told Fox News that Trump’s indictment on federal charges related to mishandling classified documents was a sign of “a sick world.”

She said she was “ashamed” to be a lawyer, called the charge “persecution” and said it was a “sad attempt at political interference.”

“There’s a two-tier justice system that we’re seeing now,” she told Jesse Watters.

Hillary Clinton smashed a computer and deleted emails.

“We had recordings in sock drawers.

“We have Biden and Obama hiding things — Biden still has things in Chinatown, in his house, with a son who is an addict.

“And nothing will happen to these people.”

Alina Habba, a lawyer for Donald Trump, said her client was being prosecuted

Habba told Fox News host Jesse Watters that impeachment against Trump was the sign of ‘a sick world’

Hillary Clinton’s aides admitted to using a hammer to destroy two of her old phones.

Her staff also deleted 30,000 emails from her server in 2015 that were not related to government work and were older than 60 days.

Her husband spoke to historian Taylor Branch while in office, and the two recorded their discussions for a book. Bill Clinton kept his tapes in a sock drawer. Conservatives have argued that they amount to presidential records and should be handed over.

Biden found classified materials in the offices of his think tank in Washington DC and at his home in Delaware: they were turned over.

Obama’s office denied taking classified documents.

Donald Trump released a video Thursday in which he insists he is innocent and will be prosecuted

Still, Habba said there was a clear bias against her client, which she blamed on his political prowess.

“If your name is Donald Trump and you’re leading in the polls, you’re going to be hit hard,” she said.

“You will be sued until you can’t take it anymore.

“But they chose the wrong one.”

Habba said Trump’s indictment — the first federal indictment ever filed against a former president — was unfair and “shows what a sick world we live in.”

She continued, “I am terrified for the country right now and sad for my client – although he is resilient and strong.

“And it just shows me again why we need him back in the White House.”

Habba said the “establishment” was terrified of Trump because he was independent.

Donald Trump is not owned by a lobbyist. He is not owned by a financier – someone who would give him money in exchange for access,” she said. “He doesn’t need the money.

And that’s the most frightening thing about the current political climate in America.

And that’s why he’s the biggest threat to the corrupt political system we have; to the corrupt Justice Department we have.”

Habba said they look forward to putting forward Trump’s version of events.

Jack Smith was appointed special counsel in November to investigate Trump’s handling of classified information

She attacked the special counsel, Jack Smith, accusing him of being a political hacker bent on taking down Trump.

“All of these charges, the American people must remember, are one-sided evidence hearings in a grand jury composed of far-left Democrats,” she said.

Jack Smith is basically what you would call a Democratic left-wing cop.

All he does is hate Trump, hate the right wing.

“He puts these people in a silo and gives them his proof.”

She concluded, “Now we get a chance to present our evidence and go through it.

“If we get an impartial judge, an impartial jury, we will be right on all fronts.”
