Donald Trump still thinks it’s possible Democrats will dump Joe Biden before November.
While the current and former presidents are on track for a rematch in the 2024 general election, Trump believes he will not ultimately face Biden.
Instead, Trump told conservative political commentator and Reagan-era OPM deputy director Hugh Hewitt on Wednesday that Biden may be replaced by another, younger Democrat such as Vice President Kamala Harris or California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Despite this, Trump also accepted proposals on Wednesday to debate Biden at least twice – the first on June 27 in Atlanta, Georgia and the second on September 19 by ABC.
Trump claims that the Democratic Party will realize before the election that they “have no choice” but not to let Biden run on their ticket.

Newsom has repeatedly said he has no plans to run against Biden in the primaries and insists he has no presidential ambitions this election cycle. Many Republicans say they don’t believe California’s governor.
Meanwhile, Harris is currently running for a second term as Biden’s vice president.
“Do you think that if his weakness increases, they will dump him, Mr. President, at the convention, and replace him with Kamala or Gavin or someone like that?” Hewitt asked, referring to the official nomination process at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois in August.
‘I do. I do,” Trump replied. “I don’t think they’ll have a choice.”
‘Will it be Gavin? Will it be Kamala or someone else?’ the radio host asked.
Trump decided to take a dig at Newsom, claiming the governor has destroyed California.
‘Don’t know. I mean, Gavin is a terrible governor, Gavin Newscum, he’s a terrible governor. I think he’s doing a terrible job,” the former president said.
“I have things in California, and you know, it’s so beautiful, everything,” he continued. ‘The weather is the best. Everything is so good, but he’s just doing a terrible job.’

In typical Trump fashion, the former president then addressed Newosm’s mismanagement of water in California.
“You know, water, I had a deal that water would come from the north,” Trump said. “They have so much water, and they’re not doing it because they’re trying to protect a very small fish that didn’t make it.”
“And millions and millions of gallons of water are being sent into the Pacific Ocean, straight into the Pacific Ocean, instead of flowing down through all of California,” Trump concluded.
