Trevor Bauer accuser is INDICTED in Arizona for allegedly trying to extort ‘$3.6m’ from ex-MLB star and another man – as pitcher claims she pretended to abort a fraudulent pregnancy as part of her blackmail scheme

An Arizona woman has been indicted by a Maricopa County grand jury on fraud and racketeering charges involving former Cy Young winner Trevor Bauer and another man, although the exact charges remain unclear at this time.

That woman, Darcy Adanna Esemonu, was indicted last month on charges that she “knowingly obtained a benefit from Marco Bresciant and Trevor Anthony Bauer, through fraudulent pretenses, representations, promises or material omissions,” according to the indictment woman. DailyMail.com. Esemonu faces up to 16 years in prison if convicted on all charges.

Esemonu did not list a criminal defense attorney in this case. DailyMail.com has reached out to another attorney representing Esemonu in her ongoing sexual abuse lawsuit against Bauer in Arizona, but has not yet received a response.

She is not the same woman who accused Bauer of sexual assault in 2021, leading to his suspension and subsequent banishment from Major League Baseball.

Bauer responded to the news of Esemonu’s lawsuit on YouTube by claiming that she demanded $3.6 million from him for allegedly pressuring her to have an abortion – a claim he denies on multiple levels.

“But the thing is, she never had an abortion because she was never even pregnant, and that is confirmed by her own medical records,” Bauer said. “When I refused to pay her the $3.6 million she requested, she filed a false sexual abuse claim and filed a civil suit against me.”

According to Bauer’s explanation in his five-minute YouTube clip, the two had one sexual encounter, which he insists was initiated by her.

“We had one simple sexual encounter in December 2020, nothing that could be considered remotely rough,” he said. “She took the initiative, but don’t take my word for it, take hers.”

Bauer then proceeds to share alleged electronic communications between the two.

“This is a photo and text she sent me the next morning explaining why she ended up with me,” he said. ‘And for months afterwards she repeatedly asked to sleep with me again. For example, this text, from January 7, 2021. At one point she even asked for a sample of my sperm so that in the future she could “have my child whenever she wanted.”

In his YouTube clip, Bauer continues to link Esemonu’s lawsuit to the lawsuit previously filed (and withdrawn) by plaintiff Lindsey Hill.

“It’s hard to keep track, but she’s made at least four seven-figure demands in the past few years,” he said. “More than a year after the one time we slept together — and only after Lindsey Hill made up her false accusations — Adanna hired a lawyer.”

Bauer was previously placed on administrative leave and suspended by Major League Baseball following claims of sexual abuse by Hill, who was sued by the pitcher for defamation and later countersued over her sexual battery claims.

Bauer has never been charged with a crime in the case and has maintained his innocence while insisting that Hill plotted to blackmail him.

An alleged text message sent by Hill to a friend that Bauer previously revealed reads: “Next victim. Star pitcher for the Dodgers.”

Bauer previously claimed she made the statement that he was her “next victim” in a text message sent “before she even met me” and that she was advised to “take his money.”

Although Hill acknowledged that “victim” was not the right choice of word, she claimed that she used it in a way where she was joking, especially because of her history of dating baseball players. (She has also been linked to San Diego Padres slugger Fernando Tatis Jr.)

“This was exactly what Trevor wanted to do: randomly pick three or four lines and turn them into a story where I just look terrible,” she said on “Prime Time with Alex Stein.”

“I explained that in my statement and random things. I like to joke, I am very sarcastic, sometimes inappropriate. Anyone who knows me knows that.’

Two unidentified women have also accused Bauer of sexual assault, but he dismissed their accusations in Tuesday’s YouTube video.

“They both initially had lawyers demanding more than $3 million to ‘not go public,'” he said. ‘In both cases, their lawyers only made anonymous claims in the media after I refused to pay a sum of money. They both had the option to file a criminal complaint against me. Neither of them did. They both had the option to file a civil suit against me. Neither of them did. They both had the opportunity to participate in Lindsey Hill’s civil suit against me. They could even have done that anonymously. They both refused.”

As for Esemonu, Bauer accuses her of being a fraudster who accuses men of sexual assault for income.

“Her mo is clear,” he said. ‘Lie to men to get their money. Extort them if you have to. If they refuse to pay, stop paying or stop giving her what she wants, go to the police, accuse them of assault and file a civil suit against them to get revenge.”

Esemonu’s next court date is April 26. Her civil case against Bauer does not currently have a new hearing scheduled.
