Super Bowl-winning ex-cornerback Bashaud Breeland is arrested for the second time in nine months after allegedly ASSAULTING police officers and being found with drugs in North Carolina

Former NFL cornerback Bashaud Breeland was arrested for the second time in nine months after allegedly assaulting multiple police officers while responding to a drug-related call.
On Saturday, members of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a call, resulting in Breeland’s attempted arrest.
Breeland reportedly had no problem putting on handcuffs and assaulting multiple police officers before being sent to jail.
The 2020 Super Bowl winner with the Chiefs now faces assault charges, on top of the drug-related charges he would have been charged with without resisting arrest, per the Charlotte Observer.
Last August, Breeland was also arrested after being found with drugs, weapons and a stolen car.
Breeland was booked into jail over the weekend on multiple assault and drug charges
Breeland was drafted by the Commanders, but most recently played in the NFL for the Vikings
During Breeland’s second arrest in nine months, firearms were also found in the home where he was arrested.
Breeland hasn’t played in the NFL since 2021 with the Minnesota Vikings. He spent two years with the Kansas City Chiefs and was drafted by the Washington Commanders.
Breeland’s 2023 case is still pending, per the Charlotte Observer.
Among the drugs found in Breeland’s possession were reportedly several containers of what was most likely marijuana and five bottles of promethazine hydrochloride, a sedative drug used to treat nausea.
Breeland, 31, was also arrested in August 2020 on drug and alcohol charges and resisting arrest. Because of that incident, he was sentenced to 30 days in jail.
