Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce hasn't made any friends for himself in the world of mixed martial arts.

UFC president Dana White was the latest sports figure to criticize Kelce for being sponsored by Pfizer and promoting their Covid-19 vaccines.

Appearing on the Full Send Podcast, White criticized the promotion of the vaccine as something “we don't need” and called the jab “garbage”.

'I do not know him. I don't know anything about him other than he's a good football player,” White said on the podcast. 'He's getting a lot of attention at the moment.

“I don't know why – unless he's a believer – why would you promote that nonsense? I don't know why you would do it.

He criticized Kelce for his approval of the Covid-19 vaccine and his promos at Pfizer

“It's pretty clear we don't need it, but like I said, to each his own man. It's like people still wearing masks. You're basically just telling everyone, “Hey, I'm crazy. Look, I'm fucking crazy.”'

White's comments followed those of one of his employees, controversial MAGA MMA fighter Colby Covington.

On a podcast this week, Covington mocked the Chiefs tight end for his partnership with the pharmaceutical company, which earned him $20 million in endorsement money.

Covington said Kelce's endorsement makes him the true villain in the sports debate over the shot.

'[Kelce’s] believing in: ''Oh, I'm getting paid by Pfizer; Guys, take two shots at once, that's the healthiest thing you could ever do with your life,” Covington said — referring to the CDC recommendation to get a Covid shot and a flu shot at the same time.

“Dude, two shots?” Covington continued. I didn't get the vaccine, I don't believe in it [the] vaccine, but I'm not against anyone who does believe in it [the] vaccine.'

'If you do get the vaccine, you should probably only get it one at a time because if there is an adverse and wrong effect in it, how can you know which one is causing it if you get two at the same time? time?' Covington asked. 'That is irresponsible. Travis Kelce is one of the greatest plays of all time because he advises people to do that.

“You know he's not doing it, he's just telling people to do it because he's getting paid off and bought out by Pfizer. It's disgusting.'

White and Covington aren't the only two who took shots at Kelce because he cleared the shot.

Earlier this year, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers mocked him for approving the shot, calling him “Mr. Pfizer” on the Pat McAfee Show.

At a press conference around that time, Kelce joked in his response to Rodgers, “I thought it was pretty good. With the mustache I look like someone named Mr. Pfizer. Who knew I'd end up in a vax war with Aaron Rodgers' husband?'

Kelce added that he is “1,000 percent” behind the vaccine and that he feels “completely comfortable” with Rodgers calling him Mr. Pfizer.
