Travis Kelce loves Patrick and Brittany Mahomes’ ‘fire’ red carpet pictures from TIME100 gala in New York – where they met one of Taylor Swift’s besties!

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes were in New York on Thursday night at a Time 100 gala where the Chiefs quarterback was honored — and Travis Kelce was impressed with their style.

Mahomes shared photos from the red carpet late Thursday night with his wife and his Chiefs teammate says “fuego!!!” – the Spanish word for ‘fire’.

Brittany herself shared photos from the evening and paid tribute to her Super Bowl-winning husband, writing, “Celebrating you is always a good TIME.”

The couple also met a close friend of Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift in Jack Antonoff, who produced Swift’s new album The Tortured Poets Department.

It was a big night for Mahomes elsewhere, as his Kansas City Chiefs team made an exciting pick in the NFL Draft in Detroit by selecting Xavier Worthy in their first round pick.

Mahomes’ Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce said the photos of his friends were “fire.”

The wide receiver has drawn comparisons to Tyreek Hill with his electrifying pace and he holds the record for the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine at 4.21 seconds.

Despite being out on the night itself, Mahomes responded to the news of his team’s draft pick on X by tweeting emojis of a man running and the sunglasses emoji.

Patrick was listed among TIME’s 100 Most Attendees ahead of the event and it was a star-studded lineup in the Big Apple on Thursday night, with Dua Lipa, Kylie Minogue and Uma Therman also in attendance.

Soon, the attention on Mahomes will be firmly focused on the football field again, with the Chiefs having a shot at history.

With another Super Bowl victory, they would become the first team to record a three-peat after emerging victorious from the Las Vegas game against the San Francisco 49ers in February.

The 28-year-old already has three Super Bowl titles to his name and is being highlighted by many as a player who could eclipse Tom Brady’s seven Super Bowl titles.

But in the interview he gave to TIME to accompany the publication’s honor, he said family life would always come before records in football.

Mahomes, who has two young children with Brittan – daughter Sterling (three) and Bronze (two) – said: “I looked, if I played up to Tom (Brady)’s age, my daughter would be 19, 20 years old .

‘That would mean missing out on many youth sporting events and other obligations.

‘I would like to play for that long… at the same time I want to be there for my daughter. If that works, I’ll keep playing. But if I feel like it’s taking up my family time, then I know it’s time to go.”
