Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had high praise for defensive tackle Chris Jones after winning the Super Bowl on Sunday.

In a clip posted by the NFL on Tuesday, Kelce was recorded giving Jones his flowers after a 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas. The two wore their championship hats and hugged as celebrations took place on the field.

“It’s fucking believable, dog,” Kelce tells Jones. “A way to guide us, dog.”

Jones responded by telling Kelce, “I love you,” as the tight end patted his shoulder pads.

“In my eyes, you’re the best to ever do this, honey,” Kelce exclaimed. “You’ve got to do that someday, dog.”

The Kansas City Chiefs won their second straight title by defeating the San Francisco 49ers

Jones had four tackles to help Kansas City contain San Francisco’s offense on Sunday. During the regular season, he recorded a total of 20 solo tackles, 10 assists and 10.5 sacks.

After being drafted by the Chiefs in 2016, Jones has played all eight seasons in Kansas City and has been a major contributor to their three title wins since 2020. Over his career, Jones has made 273 tackles in 123 appearances.

His third ring made Jones the second defensive tackle with at least five pro bowl selections and three Super Bowls. The only other player to accomplish this feat is Hall of Famer Joe Greene.

Despite winning his third ring in red and white, uncertainty hangs over Jones’ future with the team as he is set to enter free agency. Nevertheless, it didn’t stop Jones from celebrating the victory and praising his defensive line for their continued efforts.

Wide receiver Mecole Hardman scored a touchdown on the other end to secure a 25-22 victory

“We know as a defense that (if) we keep giving the offense the ball, eventually they’re going to score and they’re going to start putting up points.” Jones said after the game. ‘Tight match in the first half man. And we knew it was going to be a battle.”

After the defense held the 49ers to a field goal, wide receiver Mecole Hardman sealed the victory for the Chiefs with a touchdown in the final second of overtime.

Their second consecutive title makes the Chiefs the first consecutive Super Bowl champions since the New England Patriots in 2003 and 2004.
