Tragedy as SBS producer Bridget Munro dies suddenly after ‘massive seizure’ leaving behind husband Adrian Arciuli and two kids

Tributes have poured in for the family of SBS World News senior producer Bridget Munro following her shocking death this week.

The mother-of-two tragically suffered a ‘mass attack’ on Wednesday, leaving behind her husband, SBS presenter Adrian Arciuli, and daughters Gracie and Margot.

Mr Arciuli shared the devastating news on social media on Thursday evening, along with a photo of ‘Bridgie’ smiling.

“On Wednesday November 22nd at 3.50pm our lives changed forever when our sweet Bridgie tragically and unexpectedly passed away after a massive seizure,” he wrote.

SBS World News senior producer Bridget Munro tragically passed away on Wednesday, leaving behind her husband of four years and her two young girls.

‘It’s hard to believe that this was the last photo I would take of my soulmate ten days ago, as we celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary and our first outing alone since Margot was born in April. We felt like 17-year-old kids sneaking out for a date.”

“It is fitting that this photo captures all of her wonderful qualities that we have all come to love,” Mr. Arciuli added.

The heartbroken husband went on to say that Mrs Munro was one of the world’s greatest human beings ever.

“Her beauty, her bubbly personality, her warmth, her spirit, her compassion and so many other things that made her one of the best people on this planet,” he said.

“Our lives will never be the same and our hearts are shattered into a million pieces.”

“While mine and so many other hearts will have a huge hole for the rest of our lives, we will celebrate you day by day and honor your legacy by ensuring we raise our beautiful girls Gracie and Margot to be just like their amazing mom,” the grieving husband wrote.

“My dear Bridge, I will love you forever.”

Mrs Munro’s grieving husband, Adrian Arciuli, took to social media on Thursday evening to share the devastating news

The couple married in 2019 and both worked at SBS News, with many former and current colleagues paying tribute

Mr Arciuli added that his thoughts were with their team at SBS News and Ms Munro’s former colleagues at Sky News, where she worked as a producer until July 2017.

The couple married in November 2019 before welcoming their first child Gracie a few years later.

Many took to social media to comment on Mr Arciuli’s post, writing that it was an “absolutely devastating” loss.

SBS News chief international correspondent Brett Mason wrote: ‘What incredible shock and sadness as we mourn the loss of a much-loved and respected friend and colleague. Thinking of you all @Adrian_Arciuli during this most difficult time.”

“We were so lucky at Sky to have her with us in Sydney and Canberra for the time we did,” wrote Thomas O’Brien, Sky News Australia’s deputy head of news.

Age state politics editor Annika Smethurst added: “I’m so sorry. Such a beautiful spirit.’
