In what may be one of the worst hangovers ever, a tradie found himself in the hospital on Christmas Day after having a nail shot in his butt during a work party.
31-year-old Daniel ended up in a hospital after a two-inch nail was shot into his buttocks.
The larikin carpenter was at a work meeting with fellow Traditions on NSW’s Central Coast when the incident occurred.
The accident stemmed from an idea to open their beers with nail guns.

Daniel said Yahoo News that his gun was not firing properly and with nails flying through the backyard, the homeowner jokingly aimed the gun at the young tradie’s hind quarters and it actually fired.
“He pushed it against my… buttocks. And then it really went off,” the tradie said.
Undeterred by his flat tire, the carpenter continued to party, saying it felt like nothing more than a needle prick.
The next day, he nursed his hangover with the nail still in his butt as he watched movies and recovered from the previous night’s antics.
However, once he told his family about the ordeal, they convinced him to seek medical attention on Christmas Eve.
The hospital x-ray quickly confirmed that the nail was two inches deep in Daniel’s buttocks.

Fortunately for Tradie, the nail missed the bone and lodged in his flesh, albeit “rather far” from where it entered.
Daniel said that while he cursed his partner for what happened, he can’t help but rank it “top” among his favorite Christmas memories.
“You could see from under the nurses’ masks that they were smiling from ear to ear and wondering how it happened,” he said.
“It’s my sit-around-the-campfire story now.”
