A tourist has been stabbed to death on the paradise island of Mauritius after meeting her killer on Tinder for a romantic holiday.
Zaliya Shamigulova has been missing since she left her rented apartment near the picturesque beach of Flic-en-Flac on August 17.
The university lecturer from Russia was captured on video wearing a white and blue dress and getting into the blue Toyota of a “local man” who “gave her a lift”.
It was the last time Zaliya was seen alive. She was reported missing by a female traveling companion.
Her relatives in Russia received messages saying that she had decided to disappear and not to contact her anymore.

It has now come to light that the detained suspect Puryavirsingh Sundur (pictured), 29, an IT engineer, met Zaliya through the dating app Tinder, according to Russian media outlet SHOT, which spoke to her distraught family.

Her naked body was found with multiple stab wounds in a makeshift grave in a forest in La Marie, a residential area, on Thursday, reports said.
It has now come to light that the arrested suspect Puryavirsingh Sundur, 29, met Zaliya through the dating app Tinder, according to Russian media outlet SHOT, which spoke to her distraught family.
Sundur, an IT engineer, has confessed to the murder, local police said, and are now investigating whether there were accomplices.
He said he was deeply in love with 29-year-old Zaliya Shamigulova and [claimed he] “was planning to marry her,” the report said.
During interrogation, he stated that he was ‘allegedly aware of his new girlfriend’s infidelity’.
Zaliya’s naked body was found Thursday in a makeshift grave with multiple stab wounds in a forest in La Marie, a residential area, reports said.

Zaliya recently wrote that she ‘found happiness every day’ during her holiday in Mauritius.
She was a torchbearer in preparation for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Zaliya was a university lecturer from Chelyabinsk in the Urals and was due to travel to Madagascar on September 1.
