Declan Rice had the last laugh after a Tottenham fan insulted him as he took a corner… leading to Arsenal’s third goal on Sunday.

The Spurs supporter was seen insulting the Arsenal midfielder but quickly made his way to the exit as Kai Havertz nodded in the corner.

Rice made sure to give back as he turned and celebrated towards the fan before joining his teammates.

The Gunners survived a comeback from their biggest rivals to complete a season’s double in the North London derby and ensure they would remain top of the Premier League until at least next Saturday.

The match got off to a perfect start for Mikel Arteta’s side when Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg headed the ball into his own goal in the 15th minute.

The Gunners took a 3-0 lead before half-time, with Bukayo Saka producing a cool finish before Havertz’s header.

The home side hit back with Cristian Romero taking advantage of a David Raya error before Son Heung-min fired from the penalty spot after Rice had given away a penalty.

The visitors held on to keep the pressure on Man City, who did their job later in the day by beating Nottingham Forest.

“I think so,” the Spaniard replied when asked whether Arsenal are better equipped to win the title this time.

‘When you win, it’s always like that. We didn’t do that last season because we went to West Ham and missed a penalty. We conceded against Liverpool in the 91st minute and then you are not capable.

‘Ultimately the judgment will be based on that outcome. If they had got the goal in the last minute to make it 3-3, we say ‘wouldn’t have been ready’.

‘The margins are so small. Don’t get carried away with yourself. We want to be better. There are margins for improvement. Go against Bournemouth again because it will be very tough.”
