Tory Lanez faces a lonely life behind bars as the prison system determines where he will spend his 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion
Tory Lanez’s life behind bars may take some getting used to.
The 31-year-old rapper, who is serving a 10-year prison sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020, is serving a pretty strict regimen at North Kern State Prison in Delano, California.
According to TMZthe Hurts Me artist is being held in administrative segregation at the facility because he is a high-profile inmate.
A source familiar with prison proceedings told the newspaper that Tory, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson, leads a rather lonely existence.
He has his own cell, but must submit to regular checks by the guards.

Every time the Jerry Sprunger artist leaves the cell, he has to be handcuffed.
That includes trips to the shower and to the garden.
The insider revealed that when the Talk to Me rapper wants to shower, he is escorted there by security guards.
When he wants some time outdoors, he’s the only one around.
The prison food consists of quite cheap, unhealthy dishes.
Breakfast may include servings of beef hash, hard-boiled eggs, hot cereal, milk and coffee.
Lunch can consist of peanut butter crackers, bologna or cheese sandwiches, and sugar-free drinks.
Dinner isn’t much better. The menu so far includes hotlink sausages, vegetables, coleslaw, red beans, rolls and canned fruit.

TMZ reported that Tory’s stay at the North Kern facility will be short-lived. He was moved there to determine where he would spend the remainder of his sentence.
The Canadian artist has appealed his conviction for assault with a semi-automatic firearm, carrying a loaded unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence, and hoped to be released on bail while the appeal proceeds was navigated through the courts.
The judge rejected that request.

Megan, 28, whose legal name is Megan Pete, remains silent about Tory’s sentence and appeal.
She’s been busy promoting Bongos, her new single with Cardi B, and other personal projects.
“I’m in such a great head space,” she shared Complex.
