Tori Spelling had an estate sale to pay $80K bill for 50 storage units in 2016 after being ‘broke again’… as star adds it might be ‘time for another’ one

Tori Spelling shared that she once organized an estate sale to pay an $80,000 bill for her 50 storage units when she was “broke again.”

The 50-year-old 90210 star recalled how she went on sale in 2016 so she could pay the storage company her huge bill on Tuesday’s episode of her wrong SPELLING podcast.

β€œI was probably broke again,” said the mother of five – who recently admitted to being a β€œhamster” and revealed she can’t afford her current four storage units.

‘To be honest, that was a very expensive storage space. It was 50 units. There were 50 of them,” she added.

β€œAnd at one point in my life, when I couldn’t afford it… this is not a recurring theme at all. I had a bill, guys… we had been making small payments, and it was adding up and catching up with you if you didn’t pay it. I had an outstanding bill for $80,000.”

As for her belongings, the actress said the company “auctioned everything” and “took everything.”

The star – who recently revealed she used Mounjaro after Ozempic in a quest to shed pounds – admitted they were “very kind” in that they “gave me my personal memorabilia and my childhood stuff and my dad and so sent. ‘

β€œI got that back, and I, duh, immediately put it in a new storage unit, and those are the ones I can’t pay for right now. Cool.’

“Anyway, I guess it’s time for another estate sale, right?” the star added.

Last week, Tori revealed on an episode of her podcast that she is a “hamster.”

While trying to minimize her four storage spaces during her divorce from Dean McDermott after 18 years of marriage, the actress opened up about her struggles with downsizing and financial issues.

“Hi, my name is Tori and I’m a hoarder,” she told listeners as she waited for a locksmith to let her into one of her storage units. β€œI always tell people, ‘I’m not a hoarder. I’m a collector.’

She continued, β€œI have the memories of all my children. I have everything from my 18 years of marriage, everything up until, I think, a year ago when we had to flee the house because of mold and everything was put into storage.”

Spelling went on to explain that she was forced to move most of her belongings into storage units while staying in an Airbnb after an “extreme mold infestation” was found in her home.

After leaving her house, she said she could finally breathe because she didn’t have all her “s**t on top of her.”

β€œI would like to clean up my life for my children, because they deserve better,” she explained.

Spelling explained that she “didn’t want sympathy” but had never learned “how to function in the real world” and is just trying to do her best.

‘I want to tell you something that won’t be shocking. I’m not good with money. I suck at money. β€œI didn’t know how to write a check until I was 40,” she admitted.

Unlike her co-stars, who she said were “making investments” and “buying properties,” the author said that while they were “smart with their money,” she had “no guidance at all.”

Aaron Spelling’s daughter, who was worth over half a billion dollars, inherited $800,000 from his father after his death in 2006.

Later in the episode, she admitted that she can no longer afford her storage units with all her stuff.

Tori revealed that iHeartRadio producer Amy Sugarman had paid for two of the units for her, but unfortunately the two were filled with items belonging to Tori’s estranged husband.

‘A very nice person prevented it from being put up for auction. I have friends who are helping me get back into some units.”

She continued: ‘[We] didn’t know what was in it. We can only do two now because Amy helped me with two.”

‘I’m so sad right now. I just wanted my memorabilia and my kids’ stuff, and this isn’t anything we need. $971 for f***gs**t, Oh my God, talk about getting screwed. Like what the fuck?”

Tori added that Dean had previously told her that they should have cleaned it up, to which she said, “He was right.”

She showed off an expensive mirror she had purchased and had in stock, noting that it was “a representation of this life I live.” Adding: ‘I’m f*****g wrestling man. I have five kids I have to pay for in LA. I’m trying my best.’

If someone doesn’t pay for their storage space after a certain time, the items are auctioned off.
