After alerting her friends to the problem, she reportedly passed out, with a source saying she was “out for a while.”
While it’s recommended that you call 911 immediately if a medical emergency arises, the sources claimed that Tori’s friends were concerned she wouldn’t receive proper care at a local downtown LA hospital.
Tori is now reportedly being cared for in the hospital’s intensive care unit, where doctors have found clots in her legs and lungs.
She has reportedly been conscious at times during her continued hospitalization, but her condition and prognosis are unclear.
So instead, they reportedly carried her to a car and rushed to the more prestigious Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
While blood clots are necessary for the body to stop and heal bleeding, they can also block normal blood flow, a condition known as thrombosis.
Deep vein thrombosis occurs when a blood clot occurs in one of the deep veins of the body, according to the Mayo clinic.
However, the clots can then travel to other organs, causing more serious problems.
A pulmonary embolus occurs when a clot travels to the lungs and becomes lodged, where it blocks much-needed blood flow to the organ.
