NFL Draft prospect T’Vondre Sweat was arrested on Sunday in Austin, Texas for driving under the influence.
The 22-year-old, the 2023 Big 12 Defenseman of the Year and Outland Trophy winner, was booked into the Travis County Jail after his arrest by Austin police.
The former Texas defensive lineman, who is expected to be one of the top defensive picks in this month’s draft, faces a class B misdemeanor charge, which carries a fine of up to $2,000 and 180 days in jail, according to ESPN.
The 6-foot-1, 362-pound defenseman declared for the draft after helping the Longhorns reach their first College Football Playoff appearance.
Last season he recorded two sacks, eight tackles for loss, seven quarterback hurries, four pass breakups and 45 total tackles, earning him the Outland Trophy as the nation’s top interior lineman.

ESPN rates Sweat as the No. 3 defensive tackle for the draft, which will take place April 25-27 in Detroit, Michigan.
It is unlikely that Sweat, the younger brother of Philadelphia Eagles pass rusher Josh Sweat, will face any discipline from the league as the arrest occurred before he entered the NFL.
However, the incident could be a blow to his draft stock, with NFL teams potentially deterred by his arrest.
