Although the actor shared that production on the film will begin next summer, he did not confirm whether his girlfriend, actress Zendaya, 28, will return
Tom said, “I’ve been playing Spider-Man for ten years now. So I was probably 19, Civil War is coming out or has come out.
“So I knew I was Spider-Man, my family knew I was Spider-Man, but no one else knew I was Spider-Man.
‘So there are children coming to the door and trick or treating, really exciting. The parents are in the driveway making sure the kids are safe and all.
“And we’re waiting for a kid to show up as Spider-Man. Eventually someone does and my father calls me down.
“And I think the mistake with this seven-year-old was that I was much more excited than he was.
‘So he’s there in this little Spider-Man suit with this bucket and I’m like “omg hey Spider-Man, how are you?”.
‘And he said, ‘woah woah”. To which I then said: “let’s take a picture”. And then the parents took a big step forward.
“And I had to say, ‘No, I’m the real Spider-Man.’ After which the parents had to drag their child away from my house.’

The new revelation comes as Tom revealed that Robert Downey Junior saved his career after his role in Avengers was cut.
Speaking on the Rich Roll podcast on Tuesday, he said: ‘When I got my [screen test]it was eight pages of dialogue. It was a long scene. It went great. My agent told me I had to learn the rules exactly.
“When I got to perform after I got the gig, my scene was significantly shortened from what I did in the audition.
“It was maybe two pages now, but Downey said, ‘Where did all the kid’s lines go?’ Downey was the one who told them to use it.”
Tom also revealed that he “cleaned out the minibar” the night before his first screen test with Downey and “Marvel found out.”
The actor has since given up alcohol and is now sober, launching his non-alcoholic beer brand Bero last week.
