Tom Brady celebrates 47th birthday by surfing on vacation with Michael Rubin and family as NFL legend hits the waves in Sardinia

Tom Brady celebrated his 47th birthday on a yacht in the Mediterranean with his billionaire friend, Fanatics founder Michael Rubin.

In photos obtained exclusively by Mail Sport, the seven-time Super Bowl champion was seen surfing off the coast of Sardinia on Friday.

Brady went shirtless to try out the water sport, wearing only black shorts and a matching life jacket.

After falling a few times, he returned to the luxury yacht, where he was seen wearing a white baseball cap and a gold chain around his neck.

The father of three was joined by his children: his 16-year-old son Jack, with whom he shares ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan; and his children Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11, whom he welcomed with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.

Rubin was accompanied by his family and a number of friends, who were seen relaxing on the mega yacht.

Shortly after the birthday celebration, Brady flew to nearby France, where he was spotted at several Olympic Games in Paris.

He watched the tennis match in which Novak Djokovic won gold, before heading to the beach volleyball court with his daughter Vivian.

Earlier this week, he paid tribute to his children by showing off his muscular body in a shirtless selfie.

“The lost files of 46! What a special year with these beautiful children, the best family and friends anyone could ask for, and all of you! May 47 be our best year yet…” Brady captioned his birthday post on Instagram on Saturday.

He warned his 14.9 million followers and jokingly wrote: ‘You can also post a selfie on your birthday, everyone needs to calm down.’

Brady is clearly enjoying life after retirement and has previously admitted he regrets taking football “too seriously” compared to other quarterbacks, most notably 28-year-old Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes.

‘When I see these young players, I see, just like Patrick [Mahomes] There at quarterback, running around, laughing, having fun, I thought, “I used to be like that. What the hell happened?” Brady said with a laugh on a podcast last month.

“I just got too serious, but again, I can only look back and think, ‘Okay, if I do it again, which I will never do again, I would be different.’ But the reality is, that can’t be done.”

While he has no plans to undo his retirement, Brady says he’s carrying that mentality into his second career in the broadcast booth.

“So you learn from it. Now, next phase of life, enjoy it a little bit more,” he explained.
