Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie ‘unable to contact one another on Valentine’s Day’ as they fulfill sentences at separate prisons

Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie won’t be able to contact each other this Valentine’s Day as they serve their sentences in separate prisons.

Jay Surgent, the couple’s attorney, said TMZ His clients won’t be able to talk to each other today because inmates serving their sentences in various federal prisons are not allowed to communicate with each other.

Todd, 54, is currently serving his sentence at FPC Pensacola and his wife Julie, 51, is behind bars at FMC Lexington, a prison in Kentucky.

Both are currently serving prison sentences after being convicted of tax fraud, bank fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States.

However, the Bureau of Prisons denied this, telling the website that the couple could have talked on Valentine’s Day if their plans had been approved and arranged in advance.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a no-crossover/contact policy, Surgent told TMZ.

Yet he remains baffled by the issue, claiming there are no safety issues or cause for concern.

Surgent states that their inability to talk to each other on Valentine’s Day will be a huge disappointment considering their strong bond.

Surgent also claimed that Todd recently told him he wanted to begin an investigation into the FPC Pensacola prison administration for mail theft and general corruption, as well as other issues.

Todd claims he hasn’t received the mail he expects yet.

But the Bureau of Prisons has also denied that claim, telling TMZ inmates that they are receiving their mail in a timely manner.

The reality TV couple was found guilty in federal court in June 2022 of tax evasion and bank fraud totaling $30 million, with Todd sentenced to twelve years and Julie seven, both suspended for sixteen months.

The pair, famous for their hit show Chrisley Knows Best, received a reduced sentence. Julie will serve five and a half years at the Federal Medical Center Lexington in Kentucky. Todd will serve 10 years in a federal prison in Pensacola, Florida.
