Tobey Maguire’s ex-wife Jennifer Meyer has apparently shot down rumors that the Spider-Man actor is having a romance with model Lily Chee, who is almost 30 years his junior.
A Reddit thread posted on Sunday titled “Jen Meyer defends ex-husband Tobey Maguire” contained some People A comment was reported from Meyer in which he denied any romantic connection between Maguire and Chee.
Meyer, a 47-year-old jewelry designer, reportedly responded to reports linking Maguire to Chee after they were photographed together at an exclusive July 4 bash known as the “White Party” in New York’s Hamptons, hosted by billionaire Michael Rubin.
The Reddit thread included a screenshot of Instagram sent to an account for Meyer’s Los Angeles jewelry business with the username @jenmeyerjewelry.
One user reportedly asked Meyer with three skull emojis, “Why is your ex-husband fucking someone three years older than your daughter?”

A response from the @jenmeyerjewelry account read: ‘I don’t normally respond to this kind of crap but he was kindly helping a friend with her car. Being a good guy.
And now he has [been] criticized online for dating someone he’s not. But thank you for your rude comments. I hope you’re feeling better today. Wishing you love and light.’
The comment was subsequently deleted, according to The independent.
According to People, another comment on Meyer’s jewelry store report read, “I’m getting out of here after this… But don’t believe everything you read (I’m sure you learned that somewhere). Tobey is a really good guy.”
Neither Maguire nor Chee have publicly commented on speculation of a summer romance since they were pictured together.
Chee documented her outing at the lavish party on Saturday with a series of photos she posted it on Instagramposing alone and with friends. She captioned the photo: ‘fun fun fun for the 4th.’
Maguire and Meyer tied the knot in 2007 in Kona, Hawaii. Nine years later, in 2016, they announced their split.
The former couple, who eventually finalized their divorce in 2020, have a daughter, Ruby Sweetheart, 17, and a son, Otis Tobias, 15.
An insider said on Monday US weekly that Maguire and Chee ‘are not in a serious relationship, but they do spend some time together.’

Maguire and Chee were introduced by nightclub impresario Richie Akiva “and mutual friends,” the insider told the outlet, adding that the relationship is “not serious at this point.”
“They were together all night, having fun and went to an after party with a large group of people,” the source told the outlet.
According to People, Kim Kardashian, Megan Thee Stallion, Drake, Megan Fox and Tom Brady were among those in attendance at the White Party.
Meyer was linked to entertainment director Geoffrey Ogunlesi in the years following their final divorce, as they attended an event in Los Angeles last fall.
