Tim Walz’s teacher wife Gwen is slammed for talking to voters like children after giving Americans patronizing ‘assignment’

Tim Walz’s wife, Gwen, assigned homework to Americans in a video that has social media questioning why she treats voters like her schoolchildren.

Gwen, like her husband and Minnesota Governor Tim, is a longtime teacher who tried to use that experience in the clip posted to Kamala Harris’ TikTok campaign.

‘I’m here today with an assignment for you. The video will be released on November 5,” she said in the video, which has been viewed more than 215,000 times since it was published on Sunday morning.

‘Now I’m going to put on my teacher glasses because this is really serious, just like a final exam and there is no late work.

“I want you to take yourself and three friends to the polls and make your voice heard. You have to vote. I’m going to repeat that again. You and three of your friends need to make your voice heard by voting.”

Gwen, like her husband and Minnesota Governor Tim, is a longtime schoolteacher who tried to use that experience in the clip, posted to Kamala Harris’ TikTok campaign.

Just as many students responded to homework, the response on social media was less than enthusiastic.

One user on It just amazes me that Democrats think so little of the American people.”

Another chimed in: “The average Democratic voter meets that level of intellect. Maybe it will work, but I doubt it. They’re getting desperate.’

‘It’s painful to listen to her. I can’t handle that for the next four years,” another added.

This isn’t the first time Minnesota’s First Lady has been mocked for her mannerisms during the campaign.

In September she suffered a blow online after she gave an animated speech against the former president Donald Trump at a campaign event in Superior, Wisconsin.

‘Bye bye. Goodbye Donald Trump!’ she shouted, raising her voice and moving closer to the microphone.

‘We are turning the page! 52 more days and we’ll turn the page!’ she shouted. ’52 days and it’s goodbye Donald Trump!’

The response on social media, like many students responding to homework, was less than enthusiastic.

The Trump campaign cut the video and shared it on social media.

“CONFIRMED: Gwen Walz is as cringe as Tampon Tim,” the report said.

The name “Tampon Tim” has since been used in conservative circles to describe the governor picked to boost Harris’ presidential prospects. It stems from the governor’s choice to sign a 2023 law requiring schools to provide menstrual supplies in boys’ restrooms in Minnesota schools.

The video provoked similar reactions online from Trump supporters, who described it as “cringe-inducing” and a sign that Walz clearly had “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Others described her as “worse than Hillary Clinton” or “Hillary 2.0.”

But her husband Tim had only positive things to say about his wife’s introductory comments.

“When Gwen Walz speaks, people always say, why doesn’t she run?” he asked the crowd. “She’s an English teacher, words matter.”
