Cormac Roth has died aged 25 after being diagnosed with cancer.
Actor Tim Roth’s son has died after battling stage three germ cell cancer, his family announced in a statement Monday afternoon.
Cormac’s family said he was “irreplaceable” and remembered him as an “electric ball of energy” as friendly as it was wild.”
His family said: ‘He was a wild and electric ball of energy and his mind was filled with light and goodness. Wild as he was, Cormac was also the epitome of kindness.
‘A gentle soul who brought so much happiness and hope to those around him. The sadness comes in waves, as do the tears and the laughter, when we think of that beautiful boy in the 25 years and 10 months that we knew him.
‘An unstoppable and cheerful and wild and beautiful child. Only recently became a man. We love him. We’ll take him everywhere.”
The musician first revealed his diagonsis in an Instagram post in November 2021, when he revealed that he had lost his hearing in one ear and a drastic amount of weight.
He wrote at the time, “It has taken half my hearing, 60 pounds of weight, away from my confidence, and will continue its murderous path until I can somehow manage to stop it and kill it.”
“But it hasn’t taken away my will to survive, or my love for making music. It hasn’t brought me down yet. If you or someone you love is affected by cancer, don’t hesitate to get in touch as it is an emotional rollercoaster like no other.
Love to you all, make sure you do the things you love. Life is short. It’s chaos. And you never know when it will be you. Be healthy and go to the doctor. Fuck cancer.’
Cormac was a graduate of Bennington College as well as a talented guitarist, composer and producer.
