Tiger Woods may be playing his first golf tournament since April, but he certainly won’t be back in action.
The 47-year-old will star at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas this week.
It is his first PGA Tour start since withdrawing from the Masters and undergoing surgery on his right ankle in April.
But Woods is still as focused and disciplined as ever and has reportedly texted his fellow players from the gym at 4am asking what they are ‘doing to get better’.
Former golfer and TV analyst Brandel Chamblee claimed Thursday that he is aware of PGA Tour players who have received text messages from Woods at 4 a.m. saying, “I’m at the gym.” What are you doing to get better?’

After a pair of pars to start his round, Woods birdied the third and moved to one-under.
He then bogeyed the fourth after a poor approach shot to fall back to level par.
The 82-time PGA Tour winner played just nine holes in the pro-am on Thursday to conserve his energy for Thursday’s first round.

Woods battled pain from aggravated plantar fasciitis following his 2021 car accident during a stormy third round at the undulating Augusta National before the elements forced him to withdraw and later undergo surgery on his ankle.
