This Morning host Cat Deeley suffers a belated baptism of fire as viewers slam ‘over the top’ presenter for repeatedly interrupting guests – after impressing on show debut: ‘She never stops making noise!’

Monday proved to be a promising start, but Tuesday was a late baptism of fire as Cat Deeley faced the wrath of disgruntled This Morning viewers.

Deeley, clad in Holly Willoughby’s polished stiletto heels, made her second consecutive appearance as the show’s official full-time host, alongside co-host Ben Shephard.

But her habit of interrupting guests – including celebrity chef John Torode – quickly irritated viewers, with many airing their grievances on social media.

Fans of the show were particularly annoyed by Deeley and Shephard frequently talking over each other as they made their way through the different segments of the show.

An unimpressed viewer highlighted her performance as Torode, a regular on the show, told them through his ultimate Thai green curry: “She never stops making noise!”

A second wrote: ‘The show is called This Morning. NOT the Ben Shepherd Show or the Cat Deeley Show. STOP talking over each other and stop interrupting guests. OMG – what a noise!’

While a third ranted: ‘Cat Deeley needs to listen more instead of talking all the time. John Torode tried to explain a recipe, but she kept interrupting him. I prefer Ben Shepherd.

‘Maybe I should turn off This Morning now that it’s on all the time. She’s too exaggerated.’

Another joked: “Someone want to take Cat Deeley outside and give her a sedative or an anesthetic?”

The pair also faced criticism after an interview with Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond, who regularly present the Friday show.

‘In my opinion, Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond should have been given the job full-time!’

Another added: ‘Wow!! I stopped watching because Alison kept interrupting all the guests, but especially the chefs, so they couldn’t explain everything they were doing and ended up feeling rushed and running out of time.’

‘Cat Deeley regular presenter? No, not for me! Way too annoying, she makes my ears bleed,” another tweeted.

Others were more charitable in their views, with one commenting: ‘They are professional. It’s what it needs for a while.”

While a second wrote: ‘It was an absolute pleasure seeing you both today…fantastic indeed.’

A third added: ‘You two are brilliant!! Two of my favorite presenters ever.’
