The 33-year-old American singer is in town to film The Voice Australia after it was announced earlier this month that he would be replacing judge Keith Urban.

While filming the talent show, he decided to relax at one of Sydney’s most popular nightclubs.

He was seen drinking bottles of Don Julio 1942 tequila in the VIP booth alongside the DJ with his entourage before leaving around 2:30 am.

The Wiggle hitmaker surprised partygoers when he arrived just after midnight with his entourage.

Thursday is considered one of The Ivy’s biggest nights with thousands of young professionals and college students flocking to the club each week.

The venue is a hangout for visiting celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Nicole Scherzinger, Russell Brand and Harry Connick Jr.

Kid Laroi also made an appearance last year with an unscheduled performance.

Fans of The Voice Australia can expect fireworks from new coach Jason when the singing competition airs later this year.

Jason says he’s looking for the next global superstar and has already sent a strong message to his fellow trainers Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy.

“I’m super, super competitive, almost insanely competitive,” the cocky musician told The Sunday Telegraph.

The Savage Love star has joined the Channel Seven show as a replacement for Keith Urban, who left the franchise at the end of last season.

Born and raised in Florida, Jason rose to fame in 2009 with his first single Whatcha Say, which was a #1 hit in the US.

Since then, he has sold more than 250 million singles worldwide.
