The Veronicas’ Jessica and Lisa Origliasso attempt to get trainwreck interview axed after it went off the rails

Veronicas sisters Jessica and Lisa Origliasso have reportedly tried to prevent a recent interview with them from being published after it went off the rails.

The twin singers, 39, were speaking to The Guardian to promote their latest album Gothic Summer when the interview took an unexpected turn.

The Hook Me Up hitmakers were asked about the rift that kept them from speaking in 2017, when their manager – and Jess’ fiancée – Alex Smith intervened.

‘You don’t have to answer. These are not approved topics,” Smith told the writer, interrupting that series of questions.

Their manager also interrupted the interviewer when she asked about the 2019 reality show the sisters appeared on, called Blood is For Life, with, “We don’t need to talk about that.”

After the interview was over, the publication was reportedly contacted by the sister’s publicist, who asked them to scrap it because it didn’t accomplish what the siblings wanted: to promote their latest album.

“This is not a 20th anniversary piece,” The Guardian was warned.

Meanwhile, the interviewer revealed: ‘I’m told the Veronicas would like the profile removed.’

During the interview, the twins discussed a wide range of topics, from their personal philosophies to dealing with the loss of their mother in 2021.

‘We have always prided ourselves on being strong, strong-willed women. I feel like our hearts have always been in the right place,” Lisa said.

‘We have no control over how that is perceived and written about. But we can stay true to our integrity and know that we have always done our best.”

Their latest album, released on the 22nd, is only briefly discussed in the profile piece.

Ny Breaking Australia has contacted The Veronicas for comment.

In December, Jessica opened up about her wedding plans with fiancé Alex Smith.

The pop star told Ny Breaking Australia that the wedding would take place in Australia, with the couple having already set a date.

‘We’re getting married in 2025. Then we were able to plan for the whole family to come to Australia,” she said.
