The Simpsons Plot Twist Involving Homer Simpson and Krusty the Clown Reexamined in TikTok Clip
An interesting link between The Simpsons characters Homer Simpson and Krusty the Clown has been explored again in a TikTok clip.
In a plot twist that never made it to air, more context was given to the similar look between the badass characters in the long-running Fox animated series, both of whom are voiced by Dan Castellaneta.
The theories surrounding the characters have been explored in multiple TikTok clips.
A user with the handle @Lwham quoted excerpts from a clip (which has since been removed from the social media site), the outlet LAD Bible reported Sunday.
The user asked the characters, “Have you ever noticed how similar Homer and Krusty the Clown are?”

“It’s even more apparent when Krusty is shown without makeup on or in the episode Homer the Clown, where they look more or less identical.”
The user said the common look was “not pure coincidence” as it is “a defining part of Krusty’s character and a key element to the relationship between Krusty, Homer and Bart.”
The user noted the irony that even though Bart showed no respect for his father and is just a brat, he idolizes Krusty the Clown.”
The user noted how the creators of the iconic animated show initially “intended Homer to actually be Krusty the Clown as a sort of secret identity.”
The show’s creator, Matt Groening, explained this in a 2007 interview with Weekly entertainment that “the original idea behind Krusty the Clown was that he was Homer in disguise,” but that it was dropped because it was too confusing at the beginning of the show in the late 80s.
Groening said the idea behind the storyline was that “Homer still couldn’t get respect from his son, who worshiped Krusty,” who barely had any differences with Homer.
