The Repair Shop fans panic as beloved BBC star ‘goes missing’ from new series – demanding ‘where are they?!

Repair Shop fans were concerned this week as a beloved star was missing from the line-up.

In a post on the BBC show’s Instagram on Wednesday, it was announced that The Repair Shop will return for a new series next week, with the promise: “More repairs. More stories. More memories restored.”

Presenter Jay Blades beamed along with a number of regular experts, but watch and clock specialist Steve Fletcher was absent from the photo.

Watchmaker Steve, 61, has been a guest on the much-loved show since 2017, repairing a variety of beloved watches for visitors to the barn in West Sussex every week.

Steve appears on the show along with her sister Suzie, a leatherworker and saddle expert.

But since Steve wasn’t seen in the promotional photo, several fans reacted in disbelief and feared that he might not return to the series.

They shared: ‘I love this show! Steve is missing from the photo!; ‘Yes where is Steve!!’

‘Where the hell is Steve?’; ‘Where the hell is Steve?’

‘Steve isn’t missing is he?!’; ‘Where is Steve?! Sad to see he’s missing from this photo.’

Elsewhere, in June, presenter Jay was seen on the set of The Repair Shop for the first time since the shock of his marriage.

The presenter returned to work when he was spotted without his wedding ring after his wife Lisa Marie Zbozen announced in May that the couple had split after 18 months of marriage.

It was announced that Jay would be taking a break from television work due to the divorce, but it appears he has been given permission by the BBC to resume work.

Jay, 54, looked delighted to be back with the crew, beaming in pictures as he filmed scenes on set in Bournemouth.

The TV star wore his signature black cap, black zip-up jumpsuit and a navy jacket as he got to work on the upcoming episodes.

Sources close to the production told Click News that his presence on set has brought back a sense of ‘normality’ after being away from the show for some time.

Lisa left Jay earlier this year, saying their 18-month marriage “got progressively worse and worse until I just packed a bag with a few things and left.”

Lisa announced in an emotional post on Instagram that she has split from the TV star, whom she married in November 2022.

‘This was the entire message on a private forum: I don’t know how to say this because it’s still very fresh.

“I should be really angry, but I’m just really sad about the whole thing. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much.
