Kylie Gillies’ summer holiday included a surprise, low-key wedding at Avoca Beach on the Central Coast.
The 57-year-old Morning Show host took to Instagram on Saturday to share a carousel of sweet photos she took with her husband Tony as they acted as witnesses for another couple’s wedding at the popular tourist spot.
In the first photo, Kylie and Tony were seen smiling broadly for a sweet golden hour selfie in front of the ocean, with their hands intertwined and Kylie’s wedding ring on display.
The happy couple, who celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in July, beamed with pride as they snuggled up for photos.
Kylie looked every bit the off-duty TV personality in a simple black T-shirt and linen shorts as she stood over an outdoor table and signed a marriage certificate for the mystery couple.
‘Tony thought it was a good idea to go on a second honeymoon. Too bad it was from someone else,” she captioned the post.

“What kind of holiday souvenir is this? We were just the official witnesses to a beach wedding for a couple we had never met tonight,” she wrote.
‘It was 6.40pm and we were walking along Avoca Beach.
‘A kind stranger stopped us and asked if we wanted to do the honors.
“It turns out Kaitlyn was a celebrant. We told her we had been married for 35 years. We love a romantic story, so why not!’ Kylie wrote in her caption.
“First time wearing Havianas, shorts and three-day beach hair to a wedding!”
The following photos showed Tony also stopping to sign her marriage certificate and the newlyweds joining hands, without sharing their faces with Kylie’s sizable social media following.
The pair of journalists loved being involved in this special and intimate moment for the couple.
“Congratulations to this beautiful, calm, loving couple who have yet to tell their family and friends,” Kylie continued.

Kylie was snapped sitting on her partner’s lap looking completely unrecognizable as she rocked a trendy perm and wore a thick red belt around her waist.
“My Aunt Maree found this photo in a shoe box and sent it to me a few weeks ago,” Kylie captioned the post.
‘I think it was Christmas. Tony and I are engaged. Well, today is our 35th anniversary!
‘I lost the perm and learned how to apply blush better. Tony never had a perm, it just looked like one! And he no longer has the shirt. Miami Vice called and wanted him back.”
She ended the post by wishing her husband a happy birthday as her famous friends flocked to the comments with their congratulations.
