The Masters: Third round suspended for the REST of the day due to weather

The third round of the Masters has been suspended for the REST of the day due to the appalling weather conditions in Augusta – with news of when play will resume to be announced ‘as soon as available’

The Masters has been shut down during round three due to inclement weather at Augusta National on Saturday.

The second round was due to be completed on Saturday morning after a Friday break due to storms in the area and now the third round has been shortened for the rest of the day.

More news on when the first major of the year will resume will be announced as soon as it is available, according to the tournament.

The continuous rain only intensified after the third round began shortly before lunchtime in Georgia, making cuts in three from both the first and 10th tees.

But it became impossible to continue as large puddles began to form on the pristine greens.
