The masked singer: Daisy May Cooper and Claire Richards are unmasked in double elimination

Daisy May Cooper left fans of The Masked Singer in stitches Saturday night when she was unmasked as the Otter during the show.

The actress and comedian was voted in the bottom three during the episode, before the panel of judges sent her home and revealed her identity.

And it was a double elimination, as Claire Richards also revealed herself as Knitting moments earlier, after losing in the public vote.

A breathless Daisy had the judges’ jaws dropping as she showed her face, before declaring: ‘I’m exhausted. WWhy couldn’t I have been lazy or something? It’s a lot of jumping around.

It was a good night for the panel of judges Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora and Mo Gilligan as they managed to correctly guess the two unmasked stars.

Mo managed to guess that Daisy was behind the Otter mask early on in the show, while the rest of the panel suggested names like Kim Woodburn and Mel Giedroyc.

After being unmasked, the This Country star joked that one of the reasons she did the show was that she “needed the money.”

But speaking after being kicked out, Daisy called the experience “the best job I’ve ever done,” admitting she was “heartbroken” to be kicked out.

“I did it to surprise my daughter Pip, but when she found out I was going to be the Otter she cried and said it was embarrassing,” explained the blonde.

Claire admitted she was a fan of the show, sharing, “I feel like a fan who won a competition.”

And when host Joel Domment questioned what her two children, son Charlie and daughter Daisy, would say, Claire admitted: “I think they’ll be surprised.” Charlie might feel a little humiliated.’

It seems the panel got it right this time, as Davina McCall had predicted that Claire was inside Knitting’s mask earlier in the show, while guest star Stephen Mulhern agreed.

While Rita Ora came close, she stuck with the Steps theme, but guessed it could be Claire’s bandmate Faye Tozer.

Earlier on the show, Knitting, aka Claire, sensationally performed Anastacia’s Left Outside Alone.

Knitting, Fawn, and Otter made the bottom three, with Knitting receiving the fewest votes and being forced to unmask as Claire.

Then it came down to the judges, who decided to save Fawn and send Otter home, who then had to remove his mask.

The first was Fawn, who delivered a rendition of Paloma Faith’s Changing and sparked a wide range of guesses on the panel, from Bella Thorne to Anne Robinson.

Jellyfish quickly rose to her feet on panel by showing off her impressive vocal range with a rendition of Heart’s Alone.

Another contestant with an impressive voice was Rhino, who convinced Jonathan that James Arthur was behind the mask.

Next up was Jacket Potato, who wowed fans by singing and playing Fleetwood Mac’s Go Your Own Way electric guitar.

He’s a rocker! Davin exclaimed.

While Phoenix was the last but not least to act.
