The Hairy Bikers rose to fame with their popular cooking shows, but have slowed down their busy schedule due to Dave’s health.
It comes after Dave spoke of the tearful moment he was able to get back on his bike for the first time since his cancer diagnosis.
He recalled the emotional moment when he gave a health update and admitted that he and fellow Hairy Biker Si King were both left in tears when he was able to ride again.
He told the Yorkshire Post: ‘It’s been hard but I’m not alone and I’m getting through it and I’m back to work.
“I had to learn to walk and cycle again, and when we got back on the bike with Kingy in the sun, we both had tears in our eyes.”
His best friend Si added: ‘He’s a real scrapper and he’s in good shape. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster for everyone who loves and cares about Dave.”
Dave has finally been able to get back on his bike after buying a brand new vehicle earlier this year when he shared hopes of getting back in the saddle.
He bought a new bike, a £4,699 RE Bullet Trials 500, in February and was joined by Si, 56, to look at the vehicle.
At the time, Dave took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and Si grinning in front of his new purchase at Arnolds Motorcycles in Burton.
Alongside the photo, Dave wrote, “Big step forward to get back in the saddle.
‘Si came with me to see my new bike, a 500cc royal Enfield bullet trial bike. Very exciting, thanks Arnold’s motorcycles from Burton. I love Dave.’

Elsewhere, Dave gave another update on his cancer battle last month, describing it as a “work in progress.”
Dave, who has not revealed what kind of cancer he has, shared that he has undergone “30 a lot” of chemotherapy in the past year.
Dave remained positive throughout his journey, adding that he thought his cancer was “going in the right direction” as he shared his grueling schedule for treatment.
He told The Times: ‘I’m fine. It is a work in progress. We’ve had some rough years, but this one is… I had 30 rounds of chemotherapy over three weeks and then a week off. It’s going in the right direction.’
He went into detail about what awaits him on his cancer journey, continuing: “So that’s five sessions every other week and then I’m going to film in Scotland for two weeks, and then I’ll go back to chemo, but that will be twice a week.” month.’
Dave has previously shared that he was sometimes too ill to walk and unable to ride his motorcycle because he was unstable amidst his health problems.
“Thank God, the chemotherapy doesn’t age you quickly. Because your balance is deteriorating, so for someone with a motorcycle it’s a disaster and my walking is really affected,” he told the How To Be 60 podcast.
“It’s neuropathy in your feet, so it’s hard to stand. So I had to learn how to walk again.
Plans: Dave and Si are set to film a BBC Two travel series, Hairy Bikers Go West, which will see the duo travel from Scotland to Devon in eight episodes
Chemotherapy is funny, it’s one of life’s great levellers. It doesn’t matter if you’re on television or on welfare, if you understand that, you’re in the shit. And sometimes the chemo makes you depressed.
“It’s kind of a chemical depression, and it’s really hard because everyone tells you to be positive, but if the chemistry in your body isn’t telling you that story, that’s hard.
‘Hopefully more positive chapters will follow after that.’
